Question Netshare .exe

Post image

NetShare is an app that bypasses hotspot sharing limits from your phone by providing your laptop with a VPN connection. My laptop detects the installer from the official website as a trojan, so it seems like a huge risk, but I only see positive reviews; is the app just built that way? I need an expert opinion from people who have used it before I decide, as I have struggled to find reliable feedback.

Do not use these and other fun tricky programs from official/unofficial stores. If you need specialised program, dig it on forums/github/etc. Positive reviews can easily be fake. Thats totally disappointing that THIS ended up on official store, does anybody trying to check program before letting it in store?

Thank God my local Windows antivirus detected it, as it disguised itself as a legitimate program and turned out to be a Trojan horse. I bought the full edition just to avoid any hassle, especially since it was recommended by the algorithms. It is strange how it bypassed Google's official platform without being noticed, and no one talks about how it works or what it does; they only explain how to connect other devices without mentioning the process, which is very suspicious. The reason I needed to know was that I am very familiar with certain programs being detected as viruses due to the nature of how they work. However, wherever I search, there is no official confirmation as to whether it works or not, unlike other programs where they explicitly state that it will be detected as a virus; with this one, there is no such confirmation.
