Chuck Season 1 Episodes Ranked From Least Favorite to Most Favorite

Going through Chuck again and decided to rank every episode in each season. I’m also doing an all time ranking that I’ll release after finishing Season 5 that ranks every episode against each other.

Here is Season 1 ranked from my least favorite to most favorite (even though I like every Chuck episode). Every episode lists 3 of the top moments I enjoyed. These are just my opinions.
There are spoilers, but figured if you’re reading this you’ve probably watched the show already. Hope you all enjoy!

S1 E5: Chuck Versus the Sizzling Shrimp
● Chuck ordering shrimp on his stakeout
● Ellie and Morgan bond and she buys $700 worth of equipment to save him
● Chuck saving Sarah and Casey

S1 E3: Chuck Versus the Tango
● Chuck’s kiss of Sarah’s cheek and her “That’s it?” response
● Awesome and Chuck’s tango
● Ending scene, teasing the kiss, “I’m sure I could suffer through it… Me too”

S1 E11: Chuck Versus the Crown Vic
● Sarah and Chuck make amends at the end
● Casey’s rage and sorrow when his Crown Vic explodes
● Chuck promptly gambling away $100,000 government money

Chuck S1 E6: Chuck Versus the Sandworm
● Casey having to listen to Chuck and Morgan discuss what sandwich they’d bring to a deserted island
● Sarah covers for Chuck missing his interview and Sarah and Chuck’s real photo at the costume party
● Morgan tries to interview on Chuck’s behalf

S1 E2: Chuck Versus the Helicopter
● The dinner party at Ellie’s
● Casey lacing his quiche with micro bots
● Bryce’s Funeral

S1 E4: Chuck Versus the Wookiee
● Lester saying Carina is “too good for this store”
● Chuck and Carina end scene, “I love taking what Sarah wants”
● Chuck and Sarah end scene. He brings her a pizza with no olives

S1 E8: Chuck Versus the Truth
● Chuck and Lou first meet and Chuck’s breakup with Sarah
● Chuck and Sarah’s getting lucky scene
● The funny truth serum moments

S1 E12: Chuck Versus the Undercover Lover
● Chuck mocking Casey for the Sugar Bear nickname
● Chuck’s “how do you like me now sucka” when he kicks a dude in the face
● Chuck trying throughout the episode to help Casey get back with Ilsa

S1 E7: Chuck Versus the Alma Mater
● Chuck’s college flashbacks
● Chuck and Sarah find out why Bryce betrayed Chuck
● Casey getting excited at the thought of killing Harry

S1 E1: Pilot
● Sarah and Chuck first meet in the Buy More
● Beach Scene - “Trust me Chuck”
● Outro with “The Missionary” playing

S1 E10: Chuck Versus the Nemesis
● “No One’s Gonna Love You” show outro
● Chuck and Bryce first interaction in the holding room
● Thanksgiving dinner

S1 E9: Chuck Versus the Imported Hard Salami
● Find out Bryce is alive
● Chuck and Sarah argue in the trunk of a car
● Chuck and Sarah’s first kiss

S1 E13: Chuck Versus the Marlin
● Sarah crying on the helicopter pad
● Awesome proposes to Ellie
● Casey letting Sarah chase down Chuck while he goes after the Fulcrum agent

That's fun! Undercover Lover is lower for me, and 1.8 - 1.10 is such a strong arc that I would probably just group them together as tied for first on my list.

1.10 - "Pineapple!"

As you pointed out, though, they're all great. Reading your list and thinking, "I'd move that one higher," I quickly had to go, "yeah, but which one would I move lower to make room for it?"

1.8-1.10 really are strong episodes, especially 1.9 and 1.10.
Love the pineapple reference 😂.

And yeah the top four in my lists were really hard to decide on for top spot bc in my opinion they could all warrant it. It’s tough. Season 2 is gonna be even tougher lol

I always smile when I watch that scene and occasionally recklessly think of using it in a RL emergency……… but probably not a good idea)

They are all my favorite S1 episode, but the Lou episodes are probably my most favorite favorite episodes.

Yeah Hard Salami is one of the best. To me episode 9, 10 or 13 can easily claim number 1 spot for Season 1!

I would say my least favorite moment, because of continuity, was in the pilot. When “Sarah” broke into Chuck’s apartment.

The first time I watched it I thought ‘That’s a guy stuntman. They better not try and make it the CIA agent.’
Then that’s what happened. They almost lost me at that moment. Hire a woman stunt double!

Now I need a snack. I’m thinking pancakes.

Least favorite is easy: Helicopter.

Chuck would have been down about 8 seconds after tranquing the pilot, probably dead.

Oh yeah, there’s a lot of episodes with loop hopes and issues with plot believability. But feel like a number of shows/movies have that problem lol.

Least favourites Crown VIC and Nemesis for how it upsets me when Sarah treats Chuck like xxxx.

Favourites Hard Salami and The Marlin for the opposite reasons.

Probably says a lot about what attracts me to this series!

Yeah the Crown Vic episode is painful because of how Sarah treats Chuck. Casey's love for his car is the best part(s) of that episode lol.

I don't really rank them. I start an episode and go about my business until Sarah shows up, then I watch. If I absolutely had to rank them, I'd do it based on how much screen time Sarah gets in each episode. Obviously, in descending order.
