She wasn’t supposed to become intimately involved with the person she was handling

Go ahead, Chuck. Go after Jill. Let me show you what you are missing.
Except you can't really have me....

Basically how Sarah treats him the whole series.

One of the fascinating story lines of the whole series. It's called "Will They/ Won't They." It's actually not that. It's really "He Will/She Can't, But She Really Wants to."

She loves him and she knows he loves her back (he never really tried to hide that), she wants him to know in her subtle ways that she wants him just as much as he does her.

Chuck not getting over Jill after more than five years is pretty pathetic when you think about it... damn son, get your shit together!

It's kind of true, but he always viewed the forced break up with Jill as unfinished business. But at that point of the show, he was still pretty immature Chuck.

One would think he'd have met one girl in the time. After all, as we saw, helpless women came in for assistance all the time. But not one in 5 years?????

Yep, early Chuck was very stuck. And I understand - getting expelled from Stanford was devastating, and losing Jill at the same time was just too much. Clearly it broke him. But still, 5 years is a really long time, especially at that stage of life...

That kind of breaking has caused more than a few to crawl into a bottle or lose themselves chasing a high that will never heal their wounds.

Its more than that, no other unicersity will take a guy that expelled due to cheating and without academic credentials in the early 2000s you stuck (it only changed after 2015). Chuck problem were partially internal but mostly external, welcome to the real world...

The layered, complex hint of anger on her face is so well done. I wish I could know if these little moments are just instinctual acting from Yvonne or if there's some sort of direction as to what Sarah should be feeling.

Yes, and I think it was in that same part, when Chuck went to the rooftop with Jill. There was also a similar look then, when Sarah asked Chuck if everything was okay. And in the end, Chuck said that he had to go because Jill was waiting in the car. And when he walked out the door, Sarah gave him a very similar look. In fact, you could even see it in her mouth that time, as if she was shaking her head, like she really didn’t like the whole situation at all.

That was in the previous episode, the cold open before she was with the red dress and a wink.

You’re absolutely right. Oh my God. That scene is so damn epic. The red dress and the wink—just perfect! I actually burst out laughing there. Jill got exactly what she deserved.

One of my only complaints was the relentless Reset Button with Chuck and Sarah’s relationship
Even after they got married!
