Troubleshooting | Android Closing Tab opens next tab to the right instead of opening the one to the left
Until few weeks ago, when I close a tab in mobile chrome app, it show the remaining open tab to the left of the one I closed, and/or stays in the tab group when I'm in one
It's been opening the one to the right instead or even jumping to a tab group not next to it in some scenarios.
Does anyone have an idea on how to make it return to its previous and, in my opinion, more sensible behavior?

This has been a source of frustration for me for a long time. It all depends on how a new tab is opened. If I open it myself, then if I just close it later, Chrome goes to the next tab instead of the one where I was before (which, imho, is wrong!). If I click on a link in a website which opens and goes to a new tab, then closing that one later will put me back where I started (as it should always be).
I've gotten in the habit of going back to the initial tab manually, then closing the new tab (to avoid this nonsense). This is on desktop, by the way.
