Mourning/Loss 15 years was too short.
Said goodbye to my best friend yesterday. He went out purring in my lap. My heart is so heavy. R.I.P. Pow.

I'm so very sorry for your loss... it's super tough to lose a beloved family member. We lost our girl 17 mos ago and it's still hard to talk about. How wonderful that you had 15 years! Our Luna was approx 8 when she developed fast-moving cancer.
Be gentle with yourself, too, in the coming days as grief hits at odd times/in odd ways. I hope you're able to look at all the happier memories (and pics and vids) for some peace and solace 🌈🕊🫶

I have so many pictures of him over the years. He was one of the first cats I had after I got a digital camera or a smartphone!

I wish I had words to number your pain right now... My last baby is gone 6 months and it ain't feeling any better. She was here for 19 1/2 years --still not long enough. Just know he felt your love every day he was with you, and that love will live on.

I had two from the same litter for 15 and the second went a month apart. I waited a year and the loss did not get better. Remember the love and joy you shared that is forever. The loss will be there and the heavy pain you are feeling will fade in time. When, the time is right for you, you need to adopt a kitten or a cat and share the love you gave him with them. He would want that for you. We just live longer. This is how you remember him and how you heal. ❤️ Don’t wait a year. This is Fluffy she looks like Domino but is unique in her own way. She filled the corners of my life.

Their spirit is free from Earthly troubles. Free to sit beside you until you meet them again. They are always here with us in spirit connected by love heart to heart. They look so wonderful and so loved. It is clear you adored each other and I know you’re so sad and you will be for a while. But when you’ve had a chance to process the grief you can start to remember them with a smile instead of tears. That’s what they want for you. They want to warm your heart and spur you on reminding you of everything good in the world. It’s never enough time. I just wish you healing. It takes time and you have to lean in to the gratitude for the time you had together because it helps with the pain.
