Just wanted to share big milestone in my cake decorating journey. I have done other wedding cakes before but this is my first official one, cake tasting, delivery and all! Delivering this thing was actually so terrifying! I had a lot of fun doing it and it was a wonderful learning process. Hopefully I get to do many more!

probably the most anxious I've been going to a wedding, two unfinished cakes in the trunk and half my kitchen so I could assemble and decorate on site.

Top 5 layers were faux! I used light weight plaster which mimics frosting very well and keeps a lot better than anything sugar based.
It can be tinted to whatever your desired color is but I wanted a pretty true white to match the bettercream on the base layer

I started at a retail store as a cake decorator in April and they offer tiered wedding cakes! (I've done cakes on and off in other retail bakeries the past 10 years) I was told in my interview I would be trained how to do them. Well I never got trained, I was just thrown into it and told figure it out. So this is my very first wedding cake order AND first attempt at more than 2 tiers! I'm so happy with how it turned out! 🥰 It's a 10", 8", and 6"

So my friend asked me to make her wedding cake, I’d made about 6 cakes before this… pretty happy with it!
3 different flavours:
Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, fresh raspberries and raspberry coulis filling
Almond cake with cardamom chantilly cream and fresh blackberries and blueberries filling
Almond cake with mascarpone chantilly cream and fresh strawberries/blueberries/raspberries and raspberry jam
Decorated with flowers from ceremony, and fruits! Swiss meringue buttercream used for the external icing
On an 80cm x 40cm board

My favorite cake i’ve made in my career so far. Bottom tier almond raspberry, middle chocolate salted caramel and top tier is maple and french toast.
Edit- my bakery is soulcookiebakery on insta!

5 tiers. Almond cake with raspberry cream cheese filling and chocolate cake with Oreo mousse filling. (The paper flowers were made by someone else).

This was a chocolate cake with cherry simple syrup and cherry buttercream filling! It turned out better than I expected, especially on a time crunch 😅 Absolutely adore the ferns and ranunculus though!! 🤩

(Excuse me if there are some weird expressions, I'm not bilingual, I'm French).
My sister just got married and she and her husband had a themed wedding: Star Wars!
My father and a friend made my sister's wedding cake. 20 years ago he was a pastry chef, and he wanted to make the cake for my sister, with a ship shape. The most suitable is obviously the Millenium Falcon. I had the custom mold made and it took them 3 days to make this absolutely huge cake!
I'll put you some manufacturing steps, for those who are interested, it's a 3 chocolate cake (from bottom to top, white chocolate with raspberries, milk chocolate and dark chocolate). Then the cake is covered with sugar paste and then decorated.
For the most curious, the white center of the cake that we see in the photo was made separately, it is a lactose-free cake.

I went full delusional bride and decided to make my own wedding cake. It turned out better than I could have asked for! There were a few tiny smooshes during stacking, but at the end of the day, who cares?
The cake is chocolate with a Nutella and feuilletine center, and a vanilla buttercream. I also made some additional (non stacked!) lemon cakes so that we wouldn’t run out of cake, since the chocolate one would feed approximately 70 people, and we had about 120 guests.

My little cousin is insanely talented at cake making and desserts/pastries. She had a little side busy she started but she is so talented self taught I can’t get over it.

The bride is an ecologist and the groom had a floral tie so we decided on a rustic look with pressed edible florals! 💐
I also made an extra 120 servings for the guests to enjoy at the drinks reception.
I am an amateur home baker who has been making everyone’s birthday cakes recently so they asked me to make their wedding cake.

I got married a few years ago, and my 21-year-old brother, who was in college for nothing related to baking at all, offered to learn how to make wedding cakes and make mine for free. So I agreed. He made us this lovely four tier semi-naked cake, and as far as I know has never made a wedding cake again.

Covered in fondant and then painted with food gels and vodka and then outlined in black buttercream.
Was a bit rushed to meet the deadline, but loved the technique and process. Next time I want to take extra time painting the fondant and trying different imagery. I think next time I will steam the cake before adding the buttercream lines so it has more of a glass like look to it.

I mostly do wedding cakes, but some of these are friends and family’s birthday cakes

I did my first ever tiered cake and wedding cake for my brother's wedding. It is a 5-tiered all vanilla with buttercream frosting semi-naked with berries. These pics are before the cake topper was added. Super proud of myself for a mostly straight untoppled tiered cake! I definitely learned some stuff though...especially about transporting a big cake lol.

It was an almond poppyseed cake with strawberry filling and cream cheese frosting (buttercream crumb coat to maintain structure though). Piping design is inspired by LOTR Rivendell’s architecture. 6” and 8” 4-layer cakes.
I really had to “trust the process” with this one, because I free handed the design and thought it was soooo ugly until I started adding greenery. By the end, it was one of my favorite cakes I’ve made.
Thanks for looking!
