Feedback Requested Recent faves I’ve made at work
If you have any critiques or things that could’ve looked better lmk!
I am working only in ABC and cream cheese frosting, not able to do fondant yet. Any words that shine gold in my pics is white chocolate covered in luster dust.
I’ve been struggling to pipe words because I’m starting to develop carpal tunnel and my grip has gotten weaker and shakier :/// so my words are my least favorite part of any cake.
From most recent to about a month ago.
Thanks for looking :)

8's colors are fire-what's your go-to brush for that gradient?

I used a small offset palette knife and went to town smearing streaks of buttercream!

i work in a grocery store where we have very limited materials and ingredients allowed and my brain cant process how you were able to get that pink drip on cake #5? is that melted chocolate with dye? I'm pretty inexpierenced with that sort of thing :/

Yes! We order buckets of white chocolate ganache and use candy coloring to dye it :) you can’t use the normal gel colors you’d use to tint frosting, but Decopac makes some to use in chocolate!

Some of the prettiest I’ve seen, especially the cupcakes in 6 and Liz’s birthday cake & cupcakes!

I’m jealous not only because I am celiac, but your skills with a piping bag are so great. I saw you’re struggling with carpal tunnel, I use compression wear from jellie bend. They make a wrist device that may help you if you’re not already seeking relief.

Everything is so beautiful!! You’re so talented. How did you make the purple flowers on the cupcakes in picture #6 and the pink in picture #1 🌸🧁🤍

As a girly that is also developing bad carpal tunnel because of cake decorating and gaming, I get you😭 get a brace!! I bought a really low profile one on Amazon and it helps so much!!

Stunning cakes!! I also have carpal tunnel and osteoarthritis in my forearms and hands so I literally feel your pain and empathise with you. Have you thought about using letter cutters? There are so many different sizes and fonts out there now, and if you were to buy ready rolled fondant icing that'd take some of the work out of the icing.

carpal tunnel is such a thief man and it sucks that the thing you love is also what makes your grip shake. if the words are your least fave part maybe dont force em every time cause your frosting colors and little gold touches are already doing the heavy lifting tbh.
