RJ Mitte (Walt Jr) has passed 😥

Wow, I was shocked to hear this. They are saying it was suicide. So sad. He was only 34 years old. RIP, Flynn ❤️

Get a therapist ASAP, anyone can get out of their situation. You have loads of options you don't realise existed to you.

You have my full support. If you need help, it's available.

What if I’ve tried all the options? All the meds? And the PTSD and depression just always come back?

Although a lot of people hope mental health can be "fully fixed", the reality unfortunately remains that depression (or other issues) will never fully go away. It will always remain a part of your life. This sounds worse than it really is, but I like to mention it to hopefully shift your, or someone else's expectations for the better.

Better how? Well, both me and a lot of people I surrounded myself with entered therapy with a similar mindset. Once the depression creeped back in and kicked me back down, it made me feel more like a failure for not being able to "get cured" from it. Once I knew it would always be some part of me, it oddly lifted a certain weight off my shoulder and altered my expectations for the better, and it gave me different outlook to other people suffering of the same faith as well. It is not us "suffering" versus the ones who "got cured", we are all in this together with a wide-varying degree of the symptoms, with still a much better outlook waiting for us.

Therapy and medicine allow you/us to process these mega-complicated emotions and situations, and help you develop healthier copings mechanisms to tackle these situations once they arise again. The pain you'll feel in a couple months won't be the same as the pain you feel now.

Don't give up.

It's true. And the really important thing to remember is, Depression is a lying hoe. It'll tell you all sorts of crap that you only realize is crap after you start feeling better.

Echoing this. Reach out for anything, I mean anything. Even if it's to vent about how the grocery store rearranged things and threw off your balance for the day. Nothing is too small. Reach out. Here anytime to respond. 🖤

In the end, it will all be okay. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end!

It’s not that easy. Some of us aren’t able to get insurance and some of us already know exactly what’s wrong. A therapist and meds can only do so much. They can’t change the other people and/or situations that are driving these emotions.

•

u/MainLimp4695 5h ago

Exactly. Some people have explored all conventional options and are told they have some sort of obligation to “stick it out”.

You say that then people using these programs are loaded into a A.I Algorithm in which patient data is fed and sold into data to nearby brokers on information you give unto them.

Anything you say will not be private. Ever. It will be sold and it will be used to trained Artificial intelligence on how to make a mentally unwell compliant once more giving them a false sense of calm onto them with false scenarios that they have once again control of their livelihood.

I second this. I may not know you, but I’m sure the world would miss out on something beautiful if you weren’t in it.

It can be, it can also be great. It’s brave to try. I’m not trying to discount your experience, I’ve had some that were lacking too, but I don’t want others to be discouraged from trying.

It helps a lot of people...and if it didn't help you, perhaps you just didn't get the right therapist or meds for you.

If anyone's having these thoughts and is stuck...please keep searching for help.

Edit: a lot of hotlines are available here.

Yeah. When I was really in the worst of my depression, with SI all the damn time I put off getting a therapist bc I assumed nobody would be able to help me and I'd have to keep interviewing people which would take forever, and I didn't have the energy.

I finally got so desperate I called the first therapist I found out of the phone book, I loved her, she's helped a ton. Especially with some of my really warped family dynamic which I didn't even realize was warped in the way she's helped me see.
