RJ Mitte (Walt Jr) has passed 😄

Wow, I was shocked to hear this. They are saying it was suicide. So sad. He was only 34 years old. RIP, Flynn ā¤ļø

I actually watched his instagram this year out of curiosity, looked like everything went well for him.

The whole point of most social media is to just show the good parts... There's a lot of hidden sorrow

A lot of people don't understand how impulsive suicidal behavior can be. Not everybody who ends their life planned it ahead of time. Like the rest of us they wake up in the morning not knowing that today will be their last.

It's extremely tragic. Talk to those around you who are struggling. You never know what might keep somebody from falling off the ledge.

The statistics on how many suicides are seemingly devoid of any kind of premeditation are sobering. You'll never go from happy to suicidal in a flash, but you can go from depressed to suicidal very quickly.

Reach out to anyone you know that's struggling, and reach out to the men in your life even if you don't think they are. Men especially are prone to fighting that battle alone

very well put.

Only reason I won't own a gun. Because I know what I'd do with it one day.

I've heard that something like 80% of suicides occur within 5 minutes of making the decision to do it. People think of it as something that one decides over a long period of time when it is in fact usually incredibly impulsive

That’s why nobody should own a gun

ā€œDeliveranceā€ groups have a history of messing people up even more and they end up needing deliverance from their deliverance lol. People who struggle with this stuff need someone who can invest in them consistently. Sadly that takes a ton of time and effort so the general population leans towards the quick and performative route.

This is absolutely absurd and ridiculous.

Where?

It's gone now, it was at 23 hours when I posted that comment. It was a list of all the theaters that are premiering the upcoming movie he's starring in, One Eye Open.

Posting a Fandango link in a post about an actor's suicide is insane, holy shit, please just be a bot and not a real human.

9

u/Jake_77 7h ago

Why is that not human? ā€œThis actor died and if you want to see his FINAL FILM, here’s info.ā€ My bad?

u/santana722 7h ago

Brother, if you can't see how direct linking a movie ticket site about it is in bad taste, you gotta get off the internet.

5

u/Jake_77 7h ago

Maybe if you go up thread you will see that someone said his Instagram story just timed out and that it was about his new film. I hadn’t heard of the movie and that’s why I shared it.

Nothing to do with ā€œfinancials,ā€ my guy. It’s about supporting someone’s craft. You’re welcome to your opinion.

Drop trip bro. I don’t know why these people are getting so mad at you 😭

•

u/santana722 3h ago

Legitimately feels like we lost the plot as society. It's one thing to link a wiki article about the movie, but monetizing an actor's death with a link to buy tickets to their last movie is outright ghoulish. It's not "showing support" to anybody except the studio, the last people I'm trying to "support" right now. Unbelievable.

•

u/AdrianHD 1h ago

It’s different if it’s the studio itself or the director or something coming out and using it as advertising. A random person linking it as per conversation isn’t a big deal. I don’t see why this is the issue to spotlight when there’s a lot more important facets of this situation to be focusing on.

•

u/Jake_77 1h ago

I dropped the link. I’m a random person on the internet that loved Breaking Bad. I’m not trying to sell anyone tickets, what a ludicrous thing to say. That’s why I’m so pissed off. To twist this into something as crazy as attempting to ā€œmonetizeā€ RJ Mitte’s suicide is asinine.

You are correct, there’s a lot more to be focusing on.

I saw it last Sunday. It was entertaining.

I really hope his family are ok :(

•

u/qorbexl 5h ago

How could they possibly be okay?

u/Predictable-human 6h ago

What's his most recent story? I can't see it, since I don't have a subscription.

But holy shit, this took me by a surprise. Breaking Bad is my all time favorite show, and I loved all the characters so much - it was the show that got me hooked on the "new" types of TV shows. Seeing that one of the youngest ones of the cast has passed, is so damn sad. Especially if it's by suicide due to mental struggles, since I can relate to that.

RIP RJ :( The show will hit way different on my next watch.
