Back when you could just freely login to hundreds of active servers a day

In the early image hosting website days, it was super easy to guess the URL to each image, even those that were not public. Found all sorts of freaky stuff just by running a script that would automatically download all images by iterating over the addresses.

Anyone remember the RAdmin remote desktop, that had a non-changeable passord for their trail versions? You could use the software as Long as you wanted, with all features, but the password was locked π

Itβs not hacking unless you login to an unauthenticated frontpage server transiting through an open wingate proxy.

My mother still brings up the crazy phone bill she got when I decided to war dial a DC area code long distance overnight.

Ah, the good old days. I'm old enough to remember when I could see all my neighbors network shares via our cable modems 10.10.0.0 network. Including c$. I used to think I was quite the hacker when I'd change their desktop wallpapers.
