Early Career Advice 🪴 Legit conference or not
2nd Edition of the Pharma R&D and Drug Discovery World Conference (PRDWC 2026) do u think this is worth it or whether it's legitimate

In a previous life a marketing manager signed me up for a fake conference in Boston. I was Europe based at the time and I used to get assigned to the smaller ones i hadnt heard off so I never questioned it and didn't bother looking into it.
A couple of weeks before I was trying to find info out on it to make sure the poster was relevant when I realised it was a scam but after flights and hotel were booked.
I happily pleaded ignorance and went to Boston with poster in hand. Left it in the hotel and spent a few days sight seeing. Best fake conference I ever went to.
Afterwards the marketing person got a lot of flak for it.

I checked their website and it's scammy AF. It's in Thailand, they have an "about conference" yes, with a basic grammar error, they don't list any sponsors and none of the pages have any useful information.
