A while back I was writing a blog about the first game I'd every designed and built for myself on the BBC Micro and in the blog I wrote 'it was no Daredevil Denis but I was proud of it'. That got me thinking and after contacting Simon Pick and getting his OK, I wrote a mobile tribute game to Daredevil Denis called Daredevil Dennis Rebooted.

Rather than just create a port I wanted to take the essence of the game and make it work on mobile (I didn't think the 3 layers would work so well). It is now live in both the Apple and Google app stores, it is free to play, ad free and collects no data.

It comes in two modes, a modern version of the game and a retro mode that looks as close as I could get to the original MODE 2 look.

I'd be interested if anyone has done anything similar for other Beeb classics , I'd be interested in a re-imagined Frak, Chuckie Egg or Jeremy Goes Jumping :-)
