Question ❓ SLDF Unit Markings
As some of you know I have been working on painting up a SLDF force for some time. It is getting to the stage that I want to add a unit marking but I can't figure out what to do.
331st and Eridani Light Horse / 3rd Regimental Combat Team sre the most common but I cannot seem to find any other decals of SLDF units out there.
What have other people done? Have you made your own or used other unit markings from mercenaries or factions to represent SLDF units?
I had been trying to think about whether Clan toumans have recycled old SLDF unit markings for their own units as well.
Just need some ideas, inspiration or guidance.

First, start with checking out Field Manual SLDF, which does have logos for the various Corps of the SLDF prior to Amaris.
You could also make up some based on the nicknames various units had. The original Star League sourcebook spent multiple pages naming units. Page 140 - 158 of that sourcebook lists the SLDF in the most minute detail of any publication I believe. Unsure how much of that was preserved vs rewritten in subsequent releases.
Both of these are available as PDFs from Catalyst last time I checked.

Here's an old school Wolverine I did up for the 9th SLDF Battlemech Division, the unit I personally chose as the lineage for a character of mine.
All in all, I figured most SLDF units would look pretty plain in their standard olive drab. Maybe a unit number here and there. I plan to expand this one mech to a full Lance.

if you're brave enough to freehand, some of the canon unit markings are relatively simple geometric designs + numbers: https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Category:SLDF_Unit_Logo_Gallery

Thanks for the suggestion guys.
I had been brainstorming to see what decals are out there that I could use to model my force. Some of the decals are obviously very specific to mercenary factions (like the Fighting Uruk-hai). Some of the Clan units (like Hell's Horses) have generic enough ones as well that could be used to make like an independent regiment.
Just seems like with a bunch of SLDF personel reforming mitary units and ths sheer scale of the size of the force itself, who's to say some unit or regimental markings were not reused, altered or reimagined?

There are only a handful of Clan units that were allowed to hold on to SLDF lineage by Nicholas Kerensky. For example, the Wolf 328th Assault).
