Rehoming URGENT REHOMING

Hiya guys. It kills me to do this but I have to rehome my ball python. She is a pied het clown yellowbelly and is about 1.5 years old. I’m enlisting in the military and leave on the 22nd and plans with a friend to take her fell though. I am in the northern colorado area, specifically around fort collins, and am willing to drive a fair bit to ensure she has a safe home. She is in a 3 x 1.5 x 1.5 enclosure and has all the necessary elements including a day night cycle, temperature gauge, and extra bulbs. I am not charging a rehoming fee, as all I care about is her going to a proper home where she will be where taken care of. Noodle attached.

Rehoming I don't know what else I can do.

UPDATE I have found a lovely home for him through this sub reddit. He has been re-homed and I'm sincerely grateful for everyone who helped, offered advice, and to the amazing individuals that picked him up. Thank you everyone, it made a painful decision much less stressful and I'm happy knowing he's in a good home.

I got him March 19th 2024 and he was around 6-8 months when I got him believe?

I am by no means trying to make any excuses I just want him to have the life he deserves and I can't give him that, I have been going through a really bad depression and have been out of work. I don't have money to get him food/new bedding. He's underweight, I been trying to space out his food and he only has one rat left.

His name is Bamba, I got him at a NC Repticon.

-Never stuck or bitten a person

-An incredible eater (frozen thawed rats) and he's never denied a meal

-Hes been handled his whole life, though less lately.

I'm looking for either resources or someone with experience to take him in and give him what I can't. In NC Raleigh/Cary area

I'll hand over all his things as well;

-Temp gauge for his tank

- Dual lamp (heat and UV bulbs operate separate)

- Spare bulbs

- 40 gallon top opening enclosure

- temp gun, feeding tongs, small scale

- two hides, fake log, cork bark log, fake foliage, water dish

The first two pictures are taken over the past month the third one is a few months after I got him.

While I would like to ask for a rehoming fee, I really just want him to go to someone who can actually care for him like he deserves. Please let me know if I need to add anything else

Its free, i need her a home asap, im absolutely unable to care for her anymore, im 16, i barely know anything about them, she was a gift when i was 10 and her care hasn’t been good at all. Shes a petstore snake, hasn’t seen a vet tho she seems fine. Im dealing with my own issues and i can no longer care for her, everything but her enclosure can go with her, shes about 6, ive been trying to rehome her for over a year and ive tried everywhere, any advice on how to rehome or anyone willing to take her or knows someone who would is extremely appreciated.

Im in north east Arkansas, snake is 6, i think she has vision issues tho im not entirely sure, i dont know the sex but i just say she. No known issues tho she isnt used to being held at all.

The lighting is from my room, not a bulb in her enclosure, the lights werent that color for more than 15 minutes, i didn’t intentionally put the on that color either.

As the title says i need to rehome him, asap, ive been trying to find a home for him for a year now, my care is no where near good and im not gonna lie about that, ive had severe mental issues and a ton of grief in the past year and a half, just the snake and his hides, no rehoming fee, i cant drive, im in NE AR, i need him out asap as i genuinely cant care for him anymore, im physically unable to get out of bed most days, let alone care for him, he has no known health issues tho he hasnt seen a vet, is about 4 ft, most likely underweight. Im 16 and i got him when i was 10, ive done my best with him. He hasnt been held since about January 2025 or earlier tbh.

If you need any additional details ill add them in the comments.

Rehoming I need help! :(

Hello. I solemnly write this post as I hold my sweet Mojave morph princess. I cannot give her the care she deserves and need to find her a loving home. Her name is Helen. She is extremely friendly and loves watching television. She is 9 years old. I just got home from college and have a new job and have found that I don’t think I can provide her with the attention she needs and absolutely deserves. I know there are many ball python owners here who have the time and resources to care for her so I turn to you. The problem is that she has stuck eye caps and redness around her cloaca. I have spent thousands in vet bills and have had to inject her with antibiotics and give her topical medication but I can’t seem to get it right. I think it is user error rather than her. I am in Los Angeles and would be happy to drive a long distance for her to have a good home with someone who can help her. I feed her once every 2-3 weeks 1 medium sized rat. I do frozen thawed. I could certainly be feeding her more often but she is not underweight to my knowledge. I offer my Exo Terra 40 gallon tank, two ceramic heat lamps, 2 large hides, 1 water dish, and some plastic vines. Everything including Helen free of charge as I really just want her to be in good hands. My heart is heavy but I know the best thing I can do for her is find someone who has time. I do ask that I can see your set up upon drop off as I do not want her going somewhere that she won’t get the care she needs. She is the most wonderful girl and has such a great personality. I hope this message finds someone who can help!! My original post was taken down because I didn’t have all the info required!! Hopefully this has it all.

My grandpa found a ball python while working, they were cleaning a home that was foreclosed on. Unsure of any details about it, but I'm almost sure it's a female based on size. She's so pretty, I really wish I could keep her, but times are not ideal for me. No rehoming fee. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

My spouse and I are both federal contractors who just lost our jobs due to executive orders. We need to leave the area and move in with family to avoid losing our home. Unfortunately we cannot take our reptiles with us. I hope it’s ok that I’m posting non BPs here as well. Looking to rehome:

1) Super pastel. Female, Hatched Feb 2020. Beautiful with tons of personality. Includes taller terrarium pictured. On medium frozen rats but ready to go up to large.

2) Super Mojave. Female, Hatched 2018 or so. Very sweet and HUGE (could stand to lose some). On large frozen rats. Includes shorter terrarium.

3) Strawberry blood red corn. Male, Hatched 2021. Shy but curious. Includes terrarium pictured. On frozen ex breeder mice.

4) Speckled king. Female, hatched 2022? The most delightful little noodle. I always thought kings were supposed to be spicy but she’s not. On frozen ex breeder nice. Includes last terrarium pictured.

No rehoming fee for any but we will want to confirm that they are going to good homes and will discuss setup and feeding. Please PM. No shipping, local to DC-area only.

Rehoming Rehoming in Houston, TX

**UPDATE: I think I found a really great home for her here in my area. Thanks again to everyone who reached out! <3

Hello everyone! I am making this post to hopefully rehome my 6 year old female ball python (I’ve had her for 6 years). She eats well and does well with being handled. Her only issue is that she sometimes has problems shedding, which she does have some stuck shed on her at the moment. She hasn’t had an issue with it in a while but I fear I have not been taking care of her husbandry the best as of lately. Not to get too much into personal details, but I have been going back and forth with the idea of rehoming and I think I’ve finally decided that the best thing for her would be to go to someone who has the time to give her the proper care and attention she deserves. She would come with her enclosure if desired, which is a zen habitat. I know that may not be the best enclosure for a ball python so if someone just wanted her, I don’t mind separating. I would ask for a rehoming fee of $100 for both her and the enclosure or just $50 for her. Ultimately, I want her to go to a good home though, so this is negotiable. Please be kind as I know I have not been giving her everything she needs and that is why I’ve decided to try and rehome. Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions. Thanks!

Rehoming I reluctantly am rehoming my ball python and I can’t find any sanctuaries near me.

Most of the photos are oldish but I can’t handle him to take more recent photos bc of surgery.

Abt my snake: located in league city Tx, he weighs 500 grams, he is between 2-3 years old, he will come with his heat sources (dhp, lamp) and uvb, 3 hides, and his current rats. Rehoming fee of 50 dollars.

I got my boy November, and I knew he had brain dmg but his breeder told me it doesn’t affect him at all. But recently it’s gotten what I think is worse, and with school starting and my surgeries I cannot care for him.

He’s 2-3yrs old and weighs 500grams, and I’ve been having this problem with him striking g and curling around his rat and even dragging it into his hide and then unraveling and leaving it without me knowing.

I don’t want to rehome him but I feel like he should go to a professional who has experience with reptiles.

Does anybody know any reputable and trustworthy reptile rescues/sanctuaries within league city Tx and the surrounding areas?
Or even somebody here who has experience with special needs reptiles within the area that is willing to take on another snake.

I really don’t want to rehome him and I thought I could take care of him but I’ve bitten off more than I can chew with him and I feel so guilty about it. Plz don’t flame me for this, I’m a minor and I genuinely thought I could do better.

Hello all I am in the Chicagoland area. I am willing to travel if need be so he finds a good home. This is miek (or mieky boi if ya nasty 😅) He’s a 2 year old male yellow belly het His mom was a banana and dad was a yellow belly as well He’s an amazing eater (frozen) He was bred by my cousin so all he’s ever known is humans. He was the runt of his clutch and is still a bit small for his age.

We aren’t sure what’s going on, but he has decided he doesn’t like me . He’s amazing with my partner and daughter and he’s normally such a sweet man. Something about me has started to stress him out and we aren’t sure what it is.

I just love him so much and want him to go to a good home where he is not so stressed.

He comes with his enclosure and everything inside!

Rehoming need to rehome my girl

after a long and difficult time i've decided to rehome my girl. i'm in some financial stress right now and cannot keep up with her care anymore. i don't know how old she is, the guy i got her from said 8-12 and i've had her for almost three years so 10-14 now. she's laid one clutch of eggs with me i immediately froze. she's never had a full shed. its so dry in my house, i cannot keep her humidity above 60% without having a humidifier in my actual room keeping the whole space above 60%. she has some stuck shed on her neck from her last shed. i'm parting with the enclosure, heat lamp/thermostat and light too since i will have no use for them once she's gone. tank is a newpet 46x12x12 i believe, i dont know the grow light. she's got a dhe in the dome.

recently she's started trying to escape nearly constantly. she spends all day up pressing at the edges of the glass doors and the mesh at the top of her enclosure. i do not have the finances to take her to the vet and i'm so defeated trying to get her humidity up. it was a bioactive enclosure but her pothos and isopods died because i didnt water for a few weeks.

we're located in Vernon, BC Canada. no rehoming fee, i just want her to go somewhere with a more experienced keeper. i can probably deliver her to neighbouring towns within an hour of me (salmon arm, kelowna). please don't cook me in the comments, i really did my best for this girl through some shit circumstances.

Hi BP Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to rehome my snake. I used to be a pretty active member of this community but life events led me to delete my account...just an FYI in case my new account seems suspicious due to lack of activity.

Location: Near Placerville, California. I am willing to travel a +/-60 mile radius to get him to his new home. Not willing to ship.

About: Male Het Axanthic VPI Piebald. I bought him as a baby from a highly rated breeder on MorphMarket. I have all his info if you're interested. He is about 4 yo, and is a very sweet and chill snake. Never had any health issues and never skipped a meal. He comes with a complete enclosure setup (if you want it). It's a sealed wood 4x2.5x2 (~150gal). Heating, lighting, thermostats, thermo/hygrometers, hides, fake plants, branches, emergency bin, etc. You can pick through and take whatever you want. *Edit: You can also take just the heating, lighting, etc...I know wooden enclosure aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Rehoming Fee: $50 for just the snake. $100 if you want the setup.

Hi there!

I am looking to rehome my 18y/o pastel named Thor. Thor was actually my really good friend’s brother’s snake that I took in after he sadly passed away some years ago. He’s been in my care for about 6 years and when he came into my care, I learned as much as I could but honestly I cannot give him the love, care and attention he deserves. I am located in Port St Lucie, Florida but can meet down in Palm Beach County or Broward County if needed as I commute to Deerfield Beach for work. The enclosure is included and I believe I still have about 5 frozen rats as well. The rehoming fee is $75 for everything. I used to have more time for him to love him and give him enrichment but, I work an intense career and hardly even have time to come home and cook dinner these days. He deserves so much more. To the best of my ability to measure he is about 5’ long.

This wonderful ball python was abandoned by its previous owner and found alone in an apartment. My team and I at the Berkshire Museum have taken it in temporarily, but we lack the space to provide it a permanent home as we already have two more ball pythons. The sex of this individual is unknown. It has been eating very well and is great with handling. The age is also unknown but it is full grown. There is no adoption fee or included items, simply a great snake looking for a new home. I am in Pittsfield MA and it could be picked up here at the museum or I could drive it to someone within the upstate NY/western MA region.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

this is Beau! he hatched (09/22/22) and is the perfect low maintenance boy. he's quite shy, but warms up quickly & is still curious enough to come out of his enclosure on his own when doors are left open. just had a full and healthy shed last week, is about 3.5 ft, & weighs 1185g as of Aug 20, 2026. He has only refused food once this year & has never struck at me out of agitation.

not asking for a fee because there’s no doubt you’ll have to spend money to get to me (in-person pickups only btw, and tolls are rampant in these parts lol) but i’m going to be really picky about where he goes. i want proof and i’m gonna be annoying about it even after he gets home with you. picky in a way that has made me turn down many people over the past couple years because they wanted to keep him in a rack or 40Gal (he’s in a 4x2x2 now). anyway…

you get the snake only, his mini “birth certificate”, and frozen rats if i have them at the time of pickup. shipping is intimidating so i’m not offering it, BUT i’m open to having my mind changed since i’m only apprehensive because i’ve never done something like it before. general location is in the title. i hope i left enough info but i’m willing to send more photos and videos of him too! thanks in advance

Dominic is a lesser morph. I have to move urgently and I can’t take him with me. He currently eats live rats. He is a sweetie pie. I rescued him a couple of years ago from someone who was literally going to release him into the wild! Now I have to move urgently and the person who was going to take him just isn’t stable.

He comes with a 2 by 2 by 4 pvc enclosure, a hide and some coco substrate. He has a light fixture for light and heat. I live on the treasure coast Florida. I could also meet in Orlando area. Please dm me if interested. I ask no fee only the cost of getting him to you or that you come get him. We can figure it out DM me.

rehoming my male ball python. he is not friendly, he was never handled properly before he was surrendered to me a few years ago. he lives in a 4x2x2 (120 gal) enclosure. he is healthy and eats very well (frozen thawed). i live in woodland hills california. he comes with everything you’ll need including enclosure, lights, and any rats i have left over. he is free to someone who will take care of him well! he does not like to be handled and strikes when he sees a hand. i am moving and i need to rehome him. i feel terrible but i dont want to just drop him off at some random pet store. if you are interested please message me and i will happily send more pictures and give more details. he needs to go to a home where the new owner can respect his boundaries. he is not for kids or someone who wants a friendly bp.

Hi due to space limitations I’m looking to rehome my female? ball python NOT URGENT

I was told she’s female but don’t feel comfortable sexing her myself
She’s a super cinnamon almost 3 years old being born in July 2023. She eats medium frozen rats every 1.5/2 weeks. If behavior is a concern she was pretty defensive when I first got her at 4 months old but is docile now, but definitely still gets excited for a meal. I have her pictured next to my 9 year old sweet baby male 😇. She doesn’t come with anything because I plan to use her enclosure for my juvenile ball python.
$20 rehoming fee for the drive (gas prices man) I require proof of setup (minimum 4x2x2) and prefer experienced owners. Because this is not urgent I can wait for an enclosure to be set up. Not looking to ship- pickup/meetup only! I live in the lake Houston/ Northeast Houston area. The earliest I can meet is next Friday 😗

This is Scipio, my pinstripe BP. I bought him in 2014 when he weighed 52g. Today he's 1,945g and a little under four feet long. He's super chill, always been very healthy, and sheds out well. I have never been able to get him to eat anything but live prey (though not for lack of trying). He eats medium rats, and he's usually a good eater.

Between my own mental health and certain environmental factors, it's become increasingly apparent that Scipio would be much better off in a different home. I'd like him to go to someone experienced and knowledgeable, who has the setup he needs to thrive.

He'll come with his entire setup if desired (tub, radiant heat panel, hides, Herpstat 2 thermostat, etc). I'm willing to meet up anywhere within a couple of hours of Portland, Oregon. I'm not comfortable shipping, sorry. Asking a $50 rehoming fee, negotiable to the right home. It sucks, but I just want to get this guy an upgrade, you know?

Hi all,

After accepting a job that requires a move and a lot of travel, I think it’s time to find a new home for my BP. I got Callie in late 2019 as a rescue, so I’m not sure of her exact age (likely 8-9) or genetics, but she has been sexed as female. We’re in the Chicago area, and she would need to be picked up as I don’t have a car. She’s fed frozen thawed rats and has never refused a meal! If you can give her a good home, she and her setup (animal plastics T10, radiant heat panel, heat pads, etc.) could be yours for free! DM if you’re interested.
