Political Question Are federal agents raiding Ilhan Omar and example of political persecution ? Why is the government specifically targeting and double guessing her paper work after 20 years?

Why are Americans letting this happen? It feels like the country is falling apart.

There is no neighbor I could count on for help.

That's really sad. I'm a liberal in a very red small town in NC. My Republican neighbor across the street who is literally over twice my age (I'm 39) drove 30 min from our home to pick me up after I needed sudden surgery that required an ambulance transport to a different hospital than our closest one without hesitation. He was actually an hour away from the hospital at the time working on his boat. I went to his 80th birthday party and just today he invited me over for Thanksgiving. That said, I don't believe he's full-on MAGA.

Edit: I forgot to mention my ultra-MAGA 70ish year old neighbors to the right. They've taken care of my cat multiple times when I travelled away for a week going above and beyond with multiple daily check-ins despite me only asking for one, and they even mowed my lawn while I was away! The husband hates me now that he's figured out either that I'm liberal or that I'm bi (or maybe it's just because I stopped taking the risk of getting them weed), but the wife who did all that work is still a great friend!

None of those scenarios involved you directly confronting Trump, ICE, or other politics. Do you think they'd support you if you were arrested protesting ICE and lost your job?

My reply was about having neighbors helping each other out.
