Political Question Are federal agents raiding Ilhan Omar and example of political persecution ? Why is the government specifically targeting and double guessing her paper work after 20 years?

Why are Americans letting this happen? It feels like the country is falling apart.

Trump campaigned on enacting retribution. This is essentially the only campaign promise he's managed to follow through on.

That's the thing, he hasn't really. Most of his targets walk free still.

His retribution is usually intimidation. Being investigated is intimidating, time consuming, and a major distraction during an election campaign. He has sued (even before being president) merely to harrass and seek settlements to just make the harrassment go away. It sometimes seems to confuse Trump when they don't back down.

Also, Trump is very clearly and obviously senile at this point. His actual plans for retribution to require being competent and hiring competent people to carry it out.

Fair points, I was just thinking back to right after the election when Kash Patel (I think it was him) was gleefully running down a list of "fat bitch" judges and lawyers they were going to prosecute.

The prosecution is the punishment

I guess the retribution message didn't really sink in until I heard his inaugural speech. I Thought Okay, he won, let's give it a chance and get things off to a positive start- it was anything but that. Angry and retribution- bothered the hell out of me.
