Political Question Are federal agents raiding Ilhan Omar and example of political persecution ? Why is the government specifically targeting and double guessing her paper work after 20 years?

Why are Americans letting this happen? It feels like the country is falling apart.

They’re terrified of the election results. Not terrified of protests. Those are 2 very different things.

They're scared of both.

These cowards run out of the back door when protesters approach them in public spaces, like restaurants. There's a reason they now avoid doing town halls like the plague.

Not wanting to be annoyed is different from being uncomfortable enough to give in to protesters.

I some times hide from my dog when she’s being extra needy. Doesn’t mean I’m going to give in to her and take her out for the 4th time in an hour.

These people are scared of the public. More specifically, they're utterly terrified of the currently angry public.

Not sure how else to spell this out to you so that you comprehend it.

The administration lives on military bases out of fear.

There's a reason Muskie boy is dropping a quarter of a billion dollars on ad buys for the GOP

The greedy motherfuckers don't drop that kind of change if they didn't think there was a serious threat

It's a good thing they're terrified of the election results, that means they haven't undermined the system completely, do you think Putin fears any election result?

It means they’re uncertain if they’ve rigged it well enough or not.

Putin also doesn’t have to worry about millions of gun owners turning on him.

Neither does trump, those gun owners are simps for an authoritarian. He literally said he likes take the guns first and do due process later and then murdered a legal gun owner on the street and said you can't carry guns. They loved it. "Tread on me" indeed.

Lmao. Yes most are, but there’s still literally millions of left wing gun owners, and millions of more centrists.

Yes, a group of ICE agents murdered a single dude carrying a pistol.

They’re too much of cowards to fire on a group that’s as large or larger with as many or more guns than they do.

Apes separate weak. Apes together strong.

Ok, sure, but the point is that we're not at the point of marching on the streets with guns. We've still got free and fair elections, at least for now, and we need to turn up and vote to keep those free and fair elections.

The people clamoring about a civil war, open carrying at the coffee shop, and seeking out violence aren't the left wing and centrist gun owners. The "left" is going to be protecting elections by voting first, if they end up being compromised that'd be the time to up the protest game.

That’s the problem we should be at that point.

Free and fair elections? Even ignoring the claims made by musk’s ex-wife we know Russia interfered in 2016, we know the trump administration lied their asses off in the 2024 elections. Not little white lies, but flat out misinformation.

That doesn’t sound like a fair election. Marching in the streets with guns is an act of deterrence to prevent violence against protesters.

I agree we’re not to the point firing on regime officials on sight yet.
