Political Question Are federal agents raiding Ilhan Omar and example of political persecution ? Why is the government specifically targeting and double guessing her paper work after 20 years?

Why are Americans letting this happen? It feels like the country is falling apart.

It absolutely is, especially since it violates a long-standing policy of having no overt investigations of political officials in the 60 days leading up to the election. This is as blatant as it gets.

That “understanding” was destroyed in 2016 with “bUt hEr eMaILs!”

Fuck you, Comey

That’s right, fuck Comey!

All my homies hate fucking Comey, but we do our part still

Sigh…unzips…

16

u/Old_Bullfrog_5086 10h ago

I blame Merritt Garland. Trump should of been imprisoned when he was convicted.

21

u/Odd-Ad-8369 11h ago

I blame congressman Weiner

14

u/titsngiggles69 11h ago

You mean Carlos danger?

15

u/SeriousScorpion 11h ago

Weiner's weiner fucked us all

5

I wake up screaming some mornings realizing that this timeline exists because of that dick pic

If his name were Brain and he sent her some equations, maybe things would be different.

Really its Obamas fault for that press dinner. Thanks Obama!

That was supposed to be the last time Yam-tits was ever going to be embarrassed.

Thank you and ewwww for Yam-tits

u/punarob 10h ago

Well Obama could have and should have fired Comey but he wanted to always look bipartisan, because that worked out so well during the Clinton administration. /s Love Obama, but he failed hugely over and over again. I knew the fascist threat that Trump was, so why did he intentionally withhold all the goods we had on him by 2016? Why did he do nothing when his SCOTUS nominee couldn't even get a hearing. Like spend tens of millions on ads, daily press conferences, refuse to release any funding for the Senate and SCOTUS to function? Instead he just rolled over like he always did.

2

u/Fezzicc 6h ago

Why do you dislike Comey? Genuine question - I've always respected him for what I know (Russia investigation, Clinton investigation, refusal of illegal orders like political targeting, etc.)

1

u/PuzzleheadedFeed2726 4h ago

He kept bringing up Clinton investigations just before the election and never had anything to prosecute so we ended up with the start of the shit we have now.

1

u/concepts_of_a_plan9 1h ago

I mean... no, fuck Trump. Fuck Trump all day every day, and Bannon too, and Epstein of course.

82

u/East_Committee_8527 11h ago

Comey and the New York FBI office was peeved about the Clinton’s pardon to Mark Rich. The anger seemed justified but the action was petty and had HUGE repercussions. Comey got Trump elected. So fuck Comey!

9

u/IsaacHasenov 9h ago

Comey and Weiner's weiner

2

u/General-Character842 5h ago

Who the fuck is Mark Rich? Trump pardoned over 1000 Jan 6th rioters. That's what Comey did. Fuck Comey.

2

u/Lazy-Zucchini6757 5h ago

That took place in Trump’s 2nd term. Americans had to reelect Trump after Jan 6 before that could even happen. It’s a real stretch to lay that one at Comey’s feet.

1

u/General-Character842 3h ago

Well, true. Comey didn't cause Trump to be re-elected, 70 million Americans did. Still, he did help the first Trump election with the Weiner email October surprise. Disclosing that was against Justice Department rules. Obviously there are no rules anymore, so it's a bit antiquated, but there were rules at the time that he ignored.

1

u/Korashy 3h ago

Executive pardons are the biggest bullshit and have no place in democracy.

1

u/sentientshadeofgreen 1h ago

Well fuck Clinton too, and the 2016 DNC. They failed America.

1

u/Worldgoesround32 6h ago

Denise Rich without question bought Marc Rich’s pardon with a $2 million plus donation to Clinton presidential library. Rich was dying, living in Switzerland and he wanted his children be able inherit his billions move $ to US.
Up till then it was customary for every president share pardon list with opposing political party’s leadership 24hrs before releasing the pardon list. Clinton withheld list because of the turmoil it would cause.
If we want hold Trump accountable for selling pardons then need to address wrongdoings of democratic presidents as well. Double standards imo is why our nation is in such a mess.
Legally Bill Clinton I don’t think can be held accountable but to help fix our nation he needs to come clean(I voted for him 2x)

2

u/Korashy 3h ago

Executive Pardons need to go period. they have no place in a democracy. they should require 2/3rds of both the senate and the house.

2

u/General-Character842 5h ago

Trump is more corrupt than every other president put together. Billions of dollars are funneled directly to him and his family. I'm supposed to care about $2 million when this jackass gets a free 747 for starters? You're a slimy Trump apologist.

1

u/Simon-Says69 2h ago

Completely delusional. Trump is the most investigated, harassed politician in history. And even with all the illegal spying the dems have perpetrated against him, they haven't found shit to convict him on.

Turn your brain on, and CNN off. You just sound foolish spewing such nonsense.

Fuck off with the antisemitism

0

Fuck off with accusing me of antisemitism. Nothing what I stated is false

-9

u/chalbersma 10h ago

Nah, Clinton got Trump elected. She ran a horrible campaign front to back.

6

u/Caffeinefiend88 7h ago

Y’all will blame anyone except the fuckheads who voted for him.

2

u/chalbersma 6h ago

Oh come on. Clinton was the least liked candidate in history at that time and she did a horrible job of running a campaign the whole time. Trump was beatable and she didn't do it. I have never voted for Trump.

4

u/AstronomerNovel3686 5h ago

Bernie would’ve won. He was the Democrat answer to Trump. But the democrat machine led by Debbie wasseman Schultz threw him under the bus

2

u/goatbiryani48 6h ago

I don't agree that Clinton got Trump elected, but your attitude is straight ass.

We already know that people who voted for Trump are fuckheads.

We can't control the actions of others, but we can control our own. The Democrats as a whole got Trump elected, through years of being the slightly less shitty party in a two-party system.

People wanted real change in governance in 2016, not the mascot of neo-liberal bullshittery.

1

u/Caffeinefiend88 2h ago

It’s always someone else’s responsibility when it’s republicans fucking up shit. Sounds about right.

1

u/goatbiryani48 1h ago

I see youve decided to take the "sit around bitching and complaining" route! Anything but trying to improve, amirite??

I pwomise I won't try to address anymore mistakes, don't want to make our benefactors up top look bad! And maybe if we pray hard enough Schumer and Jeffries will pay attention to the peons!!!

2

u/AstronomerNovel3686 5h ago

Kamala ran a much worse campaign, it was blatantly obvious that they just gave up at the beginning of September. The optics of the D campaign were terrible. Borders overrun with caravans, H1-B abuse etc. I wouldn’t doubt they pick up where they left off, they’re that tone deaf.

1

u/Prestigious_Code6605 5h ago

It was pretty awful. She literally was just thrown into the fire with no time to prepare anything.

1

u/chalbersma 4h ago

Ya but nobody expected Kamala to be a good campaigner. She ran in 2020 and came in like 16th or something. Literally couldn't get a thousand votes.

1

u/AstronomerNovel3686 4h ago

That’s why it was obvious that she wouldn’t win, they could’ve ran literally anyone else and they’d have a better chance of beating Trump

1

u/chalbersma 4h ago

Yes, but that doesn't negate that Clinton ran a shit campaign in her race.

1

u/Ok-Freedom9216 7h ago

Comet likely cost her 2% of the vote.

0

u/Simon-Says69 2h ago

Well, then the little deal with Obama illegally using the FBI to illegally spy on and harass Trump when he was running for president. This was Sedition of the highest order. Blows watergate right off the map.

Omar is actually guilty of crimes though, and should have been seriously investigated and prosecuted LONG ago. She'll have her chance to defend herself in court. Looking bleak for her though. She's got a long history of criminal activity.

1

u/Greenman8907 1h ago

Everything you said is bullshit. Literally everything.

56

u/Alternative-Ad-1850 11h ago

Banana Republic type stuff right here at home. Liable to get interesting here in the next few weeks.

2

u/Soft_Walrus_3605 10h ago

Banana Republic

We've gone through every type of fruit at this point

11

u/I_am_the_darkness_99 9h ago

We will have to remember this next time a Democrat is in charge.

Along with everything else. Oh how I hope Dems win the Senate then Alito retires! Trump will have every nominee rejected and he will have a massive tantrum but won't be able to do anything about it.

2

u/MrSurly 4h ago

Oh, it's much much too close to an election to consider any supreme court nominees.

1

u/AdTiny780 1h ago

They mean the 2 months between election and inauguration. But the longer they’re in session the more they have to vote on masseuse bills

3

u/EFreethought 8h ago

I have a feeling Alito will resign and we will see one of the fastest confirmations ever if the Dems win the Senate.

2

u/Dry_Search7009 8h ago

Are you aware the president picks the nominee?

5

u/Rhino_Thunder 6h ago

I think they mean before the democrats take office. Shove through the replacement before republicans lose power

1

u/nspy101 4h ago

Yes during the lame duck session

1

u/I_am_the_darkness_99 3h ago

I think he doesn't like trump. He said he refuses to resign before midterms, even if Dems win. He may just be holding out for more money though.

1

u/Helpful-Idea-4485 8h ago

The Senate doesn’t pick the nominee, the President does.

1

u/Oldnbold22 2h ago

I feel like it will be a long time for that. I don't see any Democrat candidate that will comecclose to Rubio.

1

u/Namazu724 2h ago

I think Alito will retire if the Republicans lose, but before the new congress is sworn in. Undoubtedly there is a shortlist of candidates from the Federalist society already in hand.

0

u/Pristine-Court-6575 1h ago

I think that is assuming that the Democrats would unite and all get on the same page. That has historically not been the case. There are several DINO's currently in the Senate

64

u/fuckexoticroots 11h ago

The government only has a “long standing policy” when it’s regarding going after a Republican for some reason

1

u/Simon-Says69 2h ago

hahaha! Obama had the FBI illegally spying on and harassing Trump when he ran for president in 2016, and kept it up all through Trump's first term. Sedition of the highest order.

As usual though, most accusations from democrats are just confessions of their OWN crimes.

5

u/20PoundHammer 9h ago

Investigation started longer than that ago

1

u/tissuecollider 1h ago

"Investigation" is doing a lot of heavy lifting considering they reached their conclusion after looking at her face and are just backfilling to try to prove they were right.

Fk this administration, every one of them.

5

u/SenorBigMcLargeHuge 8h ago

if they're intent was to influence the election, they're even dumber than they look, she's winning that district no matter what.

1

u/fdar 5h ago

It doesn't have to be about her seat specifically, but (1) putting stories about Democrats being criminal / illegal immigrants, and (2) sending a message about what happens when you oppose the administration.

1

u/SenorBigMcLargeHuge 5h ago

that's true, if their intent is to scare dumb people to the polls, this might move the needle a bit, specially since the latest migrant caravan seems to be invisible.

1

u/Simon-Says69 2h ago

Yes, they'll buy tons of fraudulent votes to steal her seat again, just like before.

1

u/SenorBigMcLargeHuge 1h ago

Yeah, i heard she promised $5000 checks to all her constituents if democrats take over the house and the senate... you fucking moron

4

u/Solkre 7h ago

Remember what they did to Hillary?

4

u/Apprehensive-Tea6995 10h ago

To be fair, the DOJ has a policy that Melania’s immigration status can never be investigated.

3

u/Leucastic_Leopard 9h ago

It needs to be tho

3

u/Soft-Jacket-932 8h ago

Fools dont see the reality of what is going on. They can keep drinking the Kool aid.

-20

u/patrolmanEmbiid 11h ago

your statement is incorrect. there is no "60-day policy" as what your referring to is just a Department of Justice "norm".

The only written policy doesn't explicitly state a timeframe.

16

u/Similar-Concert4100 11h ago

Yeah there’s a lot of shit in our government that’s based on tradition and the idea that our leaders have a modicum of honor and respect for those traditions. Trumps administration has shown us how flawed that ideal was

9

u/just_having_giggles 11h ago

There must have been a reason for this comment. Like you sat down to make it, right? With a point in mind.

11

u/chrispd01 11h ago

Sorry, they are selectively refusing to follow a norm ?

-12

u/patrolmanEmbiid 11h ago

Yeah they are. Whats wrong with that? People go against the norm all the time nowadays. So your saying all governments/agencies should follow whatever "norms" are put into place? That would negate half of the policy changes each party wants

13

u/actuallyapossom 11h ago

"What's wrong with that?"

If you can't understand what's wrong with politically motivated usage of the justice department leveraged to influence an election - nobody here will be able to help you.

Try something remedial, maybe a team of tutors can help you.

-2

u/patrolmanEmbiid 11h ago

You think with all the smart, educated people in here, someone other than me would've pointed out the factually incorrect original comment (regardless of party), I see thats not the case. Just rolling with misinformation here huh?

5

u/Herumen 10h ago

OP was not "factually incorrect". It has been a long-standing policy. Policy is not Law. There is a difference.

2

u/patrolmanEmbiid 10h ago

OP was "factually incorrect" because while there is a written policy, but that does not include the "60 days leading up to an election part" that OP fabricated.

3

u/chrispd01 11h ago

Well, I think it would depend on the motivation, right?

As long as it’s a neutral non-partisan reason then sure.

Is that what you were saying happened here?

2

u/droogles 11h ago

In that case, you had no problem with going after Trump for election interference, right? It's not normal, but it sure seems that Smith had a solid case. Same with Willis. Having an affair with a guy on staff doesn't change any of the evidence that a grand jury indicted 17 people saw.

1

u/patrolmanEmbiid 11h ago

No problem with that. I haven't voted Trump once in the last 3 elections actually. Go after Trump all you want, I want him out too.

Comment didn't land like you hope it did huh?

1

u/droogles 8h ago

Like I'm supposed to believe you. Mkay.

10

u/Twitch791 11h ago

Cool story bro. A distinction without a difference

3

u/Novel_Interaction489 11h ago

I know the norm is to reward... but what's the written policy on face fucking a 13 year old?

1

u/frozenfriedchicken 10h ago

considering he is still president should answer that question sadly.

0

u/GrillinFool 8h ago

Funny, nobody cared when Jack Smith violated that policy with Trump. It’s almost as if nobody here even knew about that. I guess nobody got the morning email letting them know what to be mad about back in 2024.

It was BS then and it’s BS now.

But Pandora’s box was opened. And it wasn’t the GOP that did it.

Also, pointing out hypocrisy doesn’t mean I don’t think Trump is a complete asshole. But here come all the fascism accusations because I dare question the dogma. Oh the irony of that.

1

u/The_Kadeshi 8h ago

What date did the the FBI conduct a raid on Trump’s residence? And what date was Jack Smith appointed as Special Counsel?

1

u/GrillinFool 7h ago

Google is your friend.

1

u/The_Kadeshi 7h ago edited 7h ago

But apparently not yours. Jack Smith wasn’t attached to the investigation until November 2022 - which occurs after the raid of August 2022 - (which itself was the result of evidence the FBI found just a few weeks prior, which they were looking for as a result of a March 2022 grand jury subpoena that was also ignored after the National archives requested that Trump follow the Presidential Records Act). So suggesting that the investigation into Rep. Omar (for what, btw?) is somehow the same as the investigation into Trump is… misleading at best. And Jack Smith didn’t have anything to do with it. So if you can’t get even the most fundamental facts straight about the point you’re trying to make, your credibility is suspect. Kinda looks like you’re regurgitating an email that told you what to be mad about.

1

u/GrillinFool 7h ago

Jack smith filed an indictment in late August 2024. You suck at Google.

“2020 Election Interference Case (District of Columbia): Grand jury indictment returned on August 1, 2023, followed by a superseding indictment on August 27, 2024.”

This explains that the 60 day thing is not a big deal:

https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/jack-smiths-new-filing-against-trump-proof-process-not-politics

1

u/AlmanorDiscard 6h ago

Jack smith

Jack Smith had evidence. You have racist shit from 4chan.

1

u/GrillinFool 6h ago

Wait, you are accusing me of jumping the gun on the evidence? I have made no comment one way or another the case. Just that Pandora’s box of investigations close to the election was opened by the left.

That being said, other than the judge who signed the warrant and the DOJ, nobody knows what the evidence is. I’m going to wait to see what that evidence is before I make a judgement.

But you, are an utter hypocrite to assume there is no evidence here and insinuate that both any evidence they have is bogus and that I am accepting it. You don’t know one way or another what the evidence is. But you insinuate that I am accepting it when you are condemning it without knowing what that is. If you see your parents any time soon, let them know they failed in raising you.

0

u/QwertyIGuess 2h ago

Policy isnt the law and this started a long time ago.

-35

u/Informal_Ad_9610 11h ago

yeah.. because that never happened under the last admin, now did it....

jeeebus.. the hypocrisy here is epic...

the woman married her brother to get around immigration laws... it's a fucking felony

22

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 11h ago

So why a house raid, if this is known? Just prosecute her?

Unless... what you're saying is bullshit 😲🫢

-2

u/Informal_Ad_9610 11h ago

raids are generally to secure evidence...

2

u/Crackertron 7h ago

So you're saying this will go about as well as the Comey and Reflecting Pool prosecutions

2

u/Ok_Explorer_2618 11h ago

Sounds like you have all the evidence you need........

This would have to be a raid about something else, then........

So what you said before was irrelevant and stupid........................

2

u/Lucky_Examination827 11h ago

Or attempts at intimidation.  Sorry for that word having so many letters.

16

u/shittyfakejesus 11h ago

Oh, you’re like, stupid stupid.

12

u/droogles 11h ago

So is insider trading. So is trying to overthrow a fair election. But your kind didn't want to even let that go to trial.

10

u/shizrak 11h ago

Hmm. Everywhere I look says that's a hoax. Got any proof?

1

u/Naps_in_car 10h ago

Who needs proof when there's feelings? She's a black woman from Somalia, isn't that all the proof needed? /s

9

u/notthatbadingeneral 11h ago

Got a reliable source on that claim? All I see it it being debunked over and over again. Lets ste the bar for 'reliable' to be as/more credible than the Associated Press.

9

u/Greenman8907 11h ago

Please provide any sort of actual evidence that she married her brother.

I’ll wait. Of course you’ll run away like all the MAGA cowards.

7

u/Rude_Nail_5545 11h ago

What a crock. Do you really think if they had evidence of a felony charge against Ilhan Omar all these years, they would have done nothing about it until now?

MAGA's are a special kind of stupid to believe this sh*t.

17

u/FranklyIvan 11h ago

No, overt racism and targeting political opponents without legitimate cause never happened under the last administration.

-17

u/Informal_Ad_9610 11h ago

oh that's funny...

yeah - they didn't just try to arrest and bankrupt the opponent.. they tried to assassinate him. twice.

14

u/AcadiaLivid2582 11h ago

Who is "they" in your sentence?

15

u/shizrak 11h ago

To be fair, he bankrupts himself plenty, he didn't need any help.

12

u/Greenman8907 11h ago

Trump broke the law. Enough for a grand jury to indict. Enough for him to be convicted of 34 FELONIES.

You seem to hate felonies, so imagine someone with 34 of them!

Edit: And Trump has declared 6 bankruptcies. He loved bankruptcies.

3

u/Occams_AK47 11h ago

You left out the part where trump was found guilty in one case, and got a free pass under DOJ rules for 2 other, far more serious indictments.

-1

u/Informal_Ad_9610 10h ago

'far more serious'?

yeah.. like running for office while not part of the Uniparty?

1

u/FranklyIvan 7h ago

Donald should be in prison for the rest of his life for stealing and retaining classified documents post-term. ANY other defendant would be.

6

u/billwest630 11h ago

When she was 13? You’re a rube.

5

u/coolcoolcool485 11h ago

You're a great example as to why this stuff shouldn't be allowed, since you just believe fucking anything you're told. I bet you think Talarico was in a mental health clinic recently too huh?

2

u/mezz7778 10h ago
  • They're eating the cats and dogs

  • the election was rigged

  • kids are being forced to have gender reassignment surgery

  • kitty litter in classrooms because kids want to turn into cats (or some bullshit)

  • other stupid shit I'm forgetting right now because there's been so much...

5

u/DreadLordNate 11h ago

Cool story, Nancy.

4

u/ChaoticLandscapes 11h ago

No. It didn’t happen in the last administration. Trump committed ACTUAL crimes and was fou d guilt. He also commuted rape as well.

And … No, she didn’t marry her brother. It’s been debunked many times over

What happens a lot is folks believe the lies they’re told and they keep perpetuating the lies. Like President Obama’s birth certificate or the newly minted James Talarico was in a mental hospital or going back where they accused Hillary Clinton of bleaching servers etc etc etc.
