Post your package requests here. Please stick to packages that already exist in Arch's official repos. If you've tried the Arch package in Artix, please say so and report if anything is broken. Check if someone else has requested your package in this thread and if so upvote and/or reply to that comment instead. There is no guarantee your request will get fulfilled.

Im user KDE Plasma + Artix OpenRC on my laptop, but i want try something new in my gaming PC, and i want to say, Hyprland is Awesome. My work at my job become a powerfull with multiple windows, and shortcut binding is great so far.
Im using Noctalia .config on Cachy OS and apply in my Artix configs.
Great Distro, no issues so far.
My PC is MoDT ToPC (Sometimes is called Eyring Motherboard) , i bought second hand at facebook marketplace, and i want to full Linux on my PC.

I think Artix went a little in the wrong direction; the rejection of Xlibre and the awarding of online installation was the last straw.
----
Xapphire - linux distro
----
So i want back xlibre and add xlibre-repo on pacman.
The DE by default is SonicDE (and sonicde-stable on pacman)
Pre configured system 4begginers, scripts to install nvidia 390,470 drivers, and...cool wallpapers, also pre-configured arch repos, chaotic aur, pre installed yay
[Mabye will be added]
Zen-kernel | paru support, and more.
----
In a nutshell, it's an Artix that works out of the box.
----
What do u think guys?

Hello,
I normally don't ask for help, but I have a weird bug that has been going on for months and at this point I might just write an OpenRC service to do this manually because at this point, I've checked my config files for bluetooth, tlp, bzmenu, etc and no matter what I set like AutoEnable disabled and set the settings in TLP's config, bluetooth, for some reason, turns back on if I turn it off and reboot.
It should stay in the state that it was in before shutdown/reboot so when I turn my laptop back on, it should stay the same state.
I do not know what could be wrong and what else to check because I feel like I checked everything obvious?
I am running Artix with OpenRC and it is probably something really simple.
EDIT: I am running i3wm, but never had this issue before.

What do you think about dinit and, why not much distro support dinit init system its much better than openrc in my opinion. İ can understand runit but why people stick to openrc but not dinit i was tried dinit in Gentoo too and it was disaster gentoo promised me i can choose whatever init system i want but there isnt any support so you need to write every dinit file yourself. So i think people should stick to artix linux dont try gentoo or whatever. But question is same why openrc runit s6 why not dinit its simple fast it has nearly full features and its dinit files are basic than openrc rc s.

I know the basic and I already have secure boot off and fast startup off but I have laptop with rtx 3050 and i5 11400F 11th gen.

ULU is a combination of significant upgrades and micro-optimizations. I've implemented most of the known and esoteric Linux performance tweaks along with some original implementations. The philosophy behind this configuration set is to utilize current hardware features and resources generously (when needed) while increasing system hardness greatly beyond the default.
The goal of this project is to provide an enhanced Linux experience while keeping your existing system. Think of this project as the "we already have it at home" meme. I'm not a fan of the trendy distros which have came out over the past couple years and this basically covers what they do anyways.
This has been my OCD project since 2022. I've got a lot of time so I just tinker at this project whenever. It comes with two custom CPU schedulers I've made SCX-IMPERATOR and SCX AURA along with a daemon which overlays some of the directories in RAM to reduce drive ware and increase responsiveness (for desktops). Every part of this project is open source and viewable, feel free to audit everything if you want to.

Hello, I am interested in using Artix and someone who has some experience with Linus, I was gonna try it earlier but it simply refused to install on my chrultrabook (Linux converted Chromebook), I have used a lot of Kubuntu in the past, though felt it was lacking and could be better. would it be a good idea? also I do wanna join this sub reddit.

So since the original script and user are no longer on github...I went ahead and took the script and replaced all of the xlibre stuff back to x11. I removed xmonad (it relies on a dotfiles directory that also doesn't exist) but I also ADDED wayfire, niri, hyprland and mangowm as desktop options and I have also updated it to grab the noctalia-greeter if you choose any of those 4 desktops. I have tested it on a vm with installing mangowm and the noctalia-greeter and had no problems.

Hi all,
After running update for packages, my PC won't recognize my Dualshock PS4 controller anymore. Before, I would connect it via USB and my emulators would detect it (the controller's yellow light would stay on). Now, after plugging it, the yellow light stays on briefly then turns off and my emulator doesn't recognize it.
I tried using sc-controller but that only picks it up as an Xbox controller and can't configure it. Running lsusb, I can see that my PC does detect it but just doesn't recognize it as a PS4 controller.
The only other thing that changed before and after the issue is me installing wine and wine tools. However, I'm not sure if wine or its package dependencies would cause a conflict.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, what can I do to fix it?
Thanks in advance,

Hi, I'm using pacman as the default one but I'd like to clearly see the whole list of installed apps, packages and their dependencies in a simple and clear manner. In your experience which one is the best.
Thank you.

Hi. I've been fighting with niri setup on artix (dinit). After hours, here's what I managed to put together to have a (somewhat) working niri session: `turnstile` for dbus and user units (pipewire, etc.), tuigreet launching niri with `niri --session`.
The artix repo's niri package patches the niri.desktop to be launched with `dbus-launch` (as I know it's kinda outdated). This creates a runtime dir (socket) in /tmp (which is not following what modern setups preferred /run/usr).
How do you guys setup your DE/WMs and specifically niri to work with dbus?

After a while using gentoo i want to switch to Artix, however there is little to no info about how they treat LLM generated code. Only thing i found was a forum post (https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,9937.msg59576.html) but i found it rather confusing. So, is there something i missed? If not, what's the team's stance on AI?
