[Windows, Alpha] NextScan - free memory scanner for single-player games, looking for testers
Hi! I'm looking for a few testers for NextScan, a free Windows memory scanner I built (a Cheat Engine-style tool with browser-style tabs).
What it is: Attach a single-player game, search for a value (4-byte integer or float), narrow it down with exact / changed / unchanged scans, then write a new value live. Each process gets its own tab, and you can save game profiles.
Requirements: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. It's a single portable .exe, with no installer, account, or internet connection needed. Some programs block memory access; if Attach fails, try running it as administrator.
Transparency: It's closed source. It runs in user mode only and does not bypass anti-cheat. Please only use it on single-player games and programs you're allowed to modify.
What I'd love feedback on: 1. Was the built-in tutorial enough to get your first value changed? 2. Scan speed and stability on your PC (CPU / thread count helps) 3. Any bugs, crashes, or games where Attach failed 4. Features you'd want next

just grabbed it and ran through the tutorial with some random indie game i had lying around. took maybe 5 minutes to find and freeze the health value, pretty smooth
one thing i noticed the scan speed was faster than i expected, around 2 seconds for the first pass on my old i5. the tab system is nice, less of a mess than having 10 cheat engine windows open
do you plan to add support for double values later? that would be useful for some games i mess with
