I contemplated moving it to my 11.5 when I got a PLXc, but it just looks right on the 14.5 haha

Like PB&J. This is on a 12.5” and works great

I still might give it a try on the 11.5 once I shoot some groups with the 1-8. I can't spend anymore money on gun stuff for a while, so doing some optic swapping could keep me busy for a bit!

I want this exact setup but worried the red dot too high?? How do you feel about the height/chin weld?

Having a good amount of time on similar setups, if you spend most of your time shooting on 1x then you’ll want an optic with a 1x as your primary. If you spend more time shooting where magnification is nice, then I’d give this a shot.

I find the vast majority of people who hate on prism/dot stacks spend more time shooting with the dot than the prism instead of the other way around, so just be honest with what sort of shooting you’re doing with it the most and build around that.

Or just do whatever fits the vibe of the gun, not everything has to be a hyper serious duty gun

Wrong. Everything needs to be a hyper serious duty gun.

But seriously I’d probably use my pistol for indoors anyway and sling my rifle (controversial I know) making the magnification itself primary role anyway.

I don’t want to do any left handed BS when slicing the pie to the left.

Love the Ta02 but the crosshair and 200yd hold are too close and it gets jumbled together in my eyes.

Agree, a little too close. It’d be cool if they made a reticle for 50/200 yd zero, and ditched the 2nd line altogether

The forward mounted dot is light years better than the rear mount on the other models though.

I don’t have a ton of time behind it - but it’s definitely usable. I zero at 75 and it is pretty flat out to 200, just know that you have to hold high up close (which feels natural with the HOB). Definitely going to have to practice with the chin hole though
