Uninvited roommate…
I am 5’1. The shed was fresh😩
(My grandmothers house)
House was built in the early 1900s and has in wall storage drawers all throughout the upstairs.. She lives in the middle of several acres of cotton fields and hay fields, so field mice and rat snakes outdoors are always a problem around this time when they are cutting. No wonder we haven’t seen any mice in the house.

yes! wouldn’t kill him unless I have to. It is my goal to hopefully be able to push him out by closing off most entrances/exits near the top of the house and leaving a opening under our porch so hopefully before winter he will move out. the field mice will run off too around the end of November. I’m not too worried because he’s at least kept to his side of the house, just would prefer he move out. 😂
This unfortunately is not the first time she has had snakes in the house - it just is ending with me.

Uninvited roommate is right. He pays no rent and still eats well.

I'm sorry, but if I opened a drawer and found that, the entire house would officially belong to the snake now.

Omg, I thought OP was the uninvited guest, I was relieved it was just a snake. People are terrifying.

What sucks? It’s cool you have rat snakes to keep rodents under control. You know what really sucks? Hantavirus from a damned rodent. That sucks.

it's likely eating the other uninvited guests...
might want to let this one stay around until there's no evidence of any other guests...
