I started this community because there didn’t seem to be a dedicated UK subreddit for pygmy goat owners, and so much of the information online is aimed at goat keepers in the US.

This is a place for UK pygmy goat owners, breeders, smallholders and anyone considering keeping pygmy goats to share knowledge, ask questions, post photos and learn from each other.

We’d love this to become a genuinely useful UK-specific resource covering everything from everyday goat keeping to the slightly more confusing stuff like legislation and paperwork.

Community vibe
Please keep things friendly, constructive and welcoming. Goat keeping is one of those subjects where people can have very different ways of doing things, so disagreement is absolutely fine — just keep it respectful.
Advice shared here should never replace veterinary care where an animal is unwell or needs urgent attention.
