Turning 19 soon and don’t really have a friend group ( more like some friends but none im super super close with) What can I do? I have a lab until 12 then I’ll go home but so far no plans for the rest of the day. I was thinking of ending my night at cactus grabbing a drink and dessert (not trying to spend tm since I went out a lot this summer). Anything else I could do for fun. Was looking for something more interesting instead of basic (going for a walk, going to cafes etc)

since everyone else is doing it why not lol. Before you say join a club, etc. I already tried. It’s just so hard to extend a friendship beyond class/club despite being someone social

I’m a haskayne student (1st year accounting). I like to go the gym, I do Muay Thai, love concerts, going to cafes, shopping/clothes, and many more things. I’d just like to connect with other girls with similar interests or people who also want a friend to do activities/ study with, etc.

I recently got a multi-pack parking pass at UofC and the information says that vehicles have to be parked "nose-in, boot out". However I'm a chronic reverse-parker lol. Are the lot attendants actually goin around ticketing multi-pack users for reverse parking or is it just another one of the rules that they don't actually enforce😂

So as the title says I wanna make new friends or even possibly a best friend! I just wants friends to travel around, grab coffee, go to the mall etc or WHO KNOWS INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL!!!! I do have friends but I wanna make more as I wanna make more connections. I'm 18, like anime/manga, go to the gym frequently, in my first year, love travelling/ exploring, from Calgary and meeting new people!!! I did join clubs as well! DM ME IMAO!

Hi I am planning to switch into Knes from Business as I am currently a first year. Does my gpa have to be a 4.0 or can it vary between a 3.9 or 3.8? Please let me know if anyone else has done this before, their gpa, and the difficulty for achieving this.

I used to take the train when there was a station right next to my house, but now I’ve moved to the mahogany/auburn bay area and now I’m taking 2 hours to get to school on the bus and train! If you have any helpful tips or know anyone who would like to carpool etc. let me know!

For the record, I do not have extenuating circumstances, and i am a current student at uofc 😭. I'm just wondering if anyone has had luck terminating their residence lease early and only paying the 500 penalty instead of the full term fee, maybe on a compassion basis? Anything really lol

Hey everyone! This is my first semester at UofC, and somehow I still haven’t made any actual friends here. Is it supposed to be this difficult, or am I just getting old at 24? 💀

I mean, I meet people, have conversations, and say hi to familiar faces, but I’m talking about actual friendships. Someone to grab coffee with between classes, hit the gym together, hang out after a long day, or just randomly text to do something.

I’m pretty social, and I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, so I didn’t expect making friends at university to be this challenging.

I’d especially love to meet people who are into working out and would be down to hit the gym together, but I’m also always up for a coffee and a good conversation!
