DIGITAL Dusted off the Charmera
Took the Charmera out today for the first time in a little while and I've fallen in love with it again 😍

For the longest time this subreddit was mostly film photos from cameras like the Holga and Diana. We've always allowed digital photos too, such as from the Gamyboy Camera or the Harinezumi for example.
Recently there have been a number of very popular digital cameras that have introduced people to the lofi aesthetic such as the many different thermal printer cameras, but also the Chuzhao and Kodak Charmera.
This is not bad, and they are welcome here! :)
But it can make it difficult to find specific types of content. This is where the post flair system comes in, since you can filter by these.
I have kept the flair system simple to begin with, we can add or change these if we need to, but let's start with the basic system and see how that goes.
I've added the following four post flairs, and made is so you have to select a flair when you post.
DIGITAL
For photos and video taken with digital toy cameras. This includes thermal print cameras.
FILM
For photos taken with film toy cameras.
DISCUSSION
For posts that are talking about toy cameras, such as asking advice, troubleshooting, etc.
META
For posts about the subreddit. This shouldn't see much use, it wil mostly be used by the mods for posts like this one.
Thoughts, comments, and feedback below. I want to try to keep this as simple to use as possible, so if you want any extra post flairs created, there would have to be a very good reason.

If not can you link to your favorite semi related discord if you use it?
Or if mods see this, can you guys make one?

I was envious of people carrying cute Kodak Charmeras, but after seeing posts on this sub, I decided to get a less cute HJD-02 instead. THANK YOU to all who posted about/recommended this mini cam! The hype is deserved. I am beyond impressed with this toy camera.
The images look great, the built-in filters are impressive, and although I did not buy this with videos in mind, the camera can record very charming video.
I was getting “failure to format” errors when trying to format the included 16GB Micro SD on the camera out of the box. However, after formatting the Micro SD to FAT32 on a PC first, I was able to format the Micro SD on the camera without issue.
I got my camera off Amazon because I was impatient, but you should be getting the same camera if you order any “HJD-02” off AliExpress.

Used a wide-angle lens for this batch, and I'm really happy with how they came out! The results aren't bad at all, and I'm loving the high contrast 1930s noir feel it gives these shots.

I can't decide which one I want. Are there pros + cons to each? The rewindpix photos in this sub what's look great, the flashback while feels is a bit more rare in this sub the photos are also really good and fun.

After stumbling upon this sub and getting sucked in because I always love low budget (at first) hobbies like this, I picked up an S168 over the weekend. Following looking through the little instructions sheet and the settings I was able to disable the sounds it makes when taking pictures and stuff, but it still makes noise when being powered on and off. Is there any way to disable the on/off sound as well so it is completely silent?

I bought a second hand Agat18K but it is missing the Hotshoe Cap. I'm wondering if anyone help me about dimensions so I can print by using 3d printer. I looked it online but there were no info about it.

Hi guys. Just purchased my first toy camera - a Charmera Millenium. Finally got it to work after some trial and error with the SD card. Sharing some of my shots. The photo quality reminds me of our old family digicam.

This question was asked in one of my Papershoot groups and I don't know the answer so I thought I would ask it here and share any of the answers

I hate these blind boxes. I just discovered that I got the secret version, and honestly, I don't like it. My fingerprints all over the camera are so annoying. Is there a case or something that could protect it?
I regret buying the Millennium version. I should have bought Vol. 1 instead. I want to sell it, but there's no interest. Is this version the least popular, or is it just the Polish market that isn't interested in it?
