Pre-1920s And yet more favorites from another of my great-grandfather's pre-1920's albums, (between 1918-1919). Around Philadelphia, Atlantic City, NJ, and a few in Mobile, AL.

All of these are from an album my great-grandmother put together about their wedding. The first page has a photo of both of them and both of their separate homes.

The person on the left in the first photo is my great-grand aunt, I believe. She went by "Bill" for most of her life. She moved to Mexico, became a citizen, and bought and raised race horses with her husband. I found a newspaper clipping that said their home was featured in a Nat Geo magazine but couldn't find any mention of it in their archives. I have a great photo of her in the 30's in some riding gear looking very chic and handsome! Also another photo of her where she looks quite blue in the late 60's, so I wonder if she got into colloidal silver - eek

That's about it, as far as pre-1920's goes! If I decide on a way to post the entire album where the other photos came from, I will certainly make a post to alert the masses (if allowed).

I love how much so many people loved the last batch of photographs, so decided to go through and find some more especially lively ones!

The woman on the left is my Great-Great-Great-Aunt Edith. The other two adults are my Great-Grandfather’s sister Esther, and her husband Joseph. The boy on Edith’s lap is Joseph and Esther’s son, Herman. I’m guessing one of my great-grandparents took the photo.

Had a cousin graciously send this truly incredible album to me after revealing how insane I was about family history to everyone by showing off my Google Drive folder of thousands of photographs I've been scanning over the past 6 months...thousands more to go!

My mom and her mom on her wedding day, Michigan 1986

It’s my parents 40th so I can FINALLY post to this sub. I recently uncovered this photo album with behind the scenes photos of my parents wedding. This particular photo was taken by my grandfather. I had seen the professional version but preferred this one that showed my grandma looking away from the camera and to my mom. Parents are still married and my grandma is still alive although her husband who took the photo passed 10 years ago this year.
