Grammar/Usage/Syntax front door translation
hi! pano niyo po sinasabi/ginagamit ang ‘front door‘ in tagalog?
e.g.
(I replied as I closed the front door.)
Sagot ko habang sinasara ko ang harapang pinto ng bahay.
Does this sound ok/good and not awkward? Or is there a better way to say it?
Thank you in advance!

pinto sa harapan [ng bahay]
mas natural.
Sagot ko habang sinasara ang pinto sa harapan.

If you want it sound more conversational in Filipino, just add the area where the door is. The person might take "front door" quite literally. Not all main entrances are situated at the front.
So just say, "Pakisara ng pinto sa sala." Please close the door at the living/receiving area.
Pakisara ng pinto sa may garahe (garage).
