Ideas of what Darkseid and his followers will be like if they appear?

For if/when the New Gods get introduced in Adventureverse what do you predict or theorize what Darkseid and his elites will be like when they appear?

like Darkseid, Kalibak, Granny Goodness, Steppenwolf, Godfrey, Desaad, the Female Furies etc.

I can see them having elements of various anime characters to fit with the show. With Apokolips’ empire being similar to Freida’s army from Dragon Ball Z where they also have other alien races incorporated into their ranks and planned to have Krypton be their version of Saiyans if not for Brainiac destroying Krypton.

What ideas would you like to see if they go that route?

Since Brainiac stated that Jor-El was able to form a peace treaty, Darkseid may not be as brutal as his previous depictions, though since we don't know the specifics of what led him to agree to it, maybe not.

I’d argue that Darkseid is still probably as brutal as ever, he’s just not an idiot and realizes that annexing Krypton into his empire comes with legions of nigh invincible warriors.

He’s tried recruiting Superman and Supergirl in different stories, so adding the whole species to his ranks is a no brainer. 🤷‍♂️

As weird as this is going to sound, I almost want them to specifically lean on the S:TAS designs for one very specific reason:

It would make them look completely alien to the universe and like a version of something that just doesn't belong.

The Frieza comparison made me think of Granny Goodness, Kalibal, Desaad, Glorious Godfrey and Steppenwolf doing poses like the Ginyus, so thanks for that.

It’d be an interesting take for Darkseid if they went full Frieza with him and gave him a less intimidating “rest” form and then have him power up to the more iconic stone face look.

I’ll be curious if they introduce New Genesis as well. Like Orion could be like an anime character who struggles with his “dark side”, and then do a Darth Vader father reveal in a confrontation between Orion and Darkseid

I could see Orion being like a Vegeta/Bakugo type character to contrast with Superman should he appear at some point.

I would want them to be slow burn antagonists. Like we see them, but they are spending most of their energy infiltrating Metropolis and studying Superman and Supergirl before they attack.

And given how Apokolips’ leaders are big on breaking people’s will, I see Granny Goodness and Darkseid working hard to separate Superman from his loved ones while also pitting him against the best warriors of Apokolips-all the while feeding into the anti-alien xenophobia that makes people increasingly distrustful of aliens/Kryptonians

I could also see them committing atrocities and force him to watch as he can’t save the victims knowing that would hurt him the most and mock any attempts to appeal to their humanity as well.
