Laptop Request US Advice on a laptop

My fiancée has an older laptop, it has been through a lot of drops(from me as well). The screen is cracked at the bottom and it can be a bit slow. I really want to get him a nice laptop within a $300-$400 budget. He makes a lot of music on his laptop and I was hoping to find one with a lot of space for his beautiful songs. He works so hard to provide for us and our pets. He only deserves the best. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on a good case for it as well(we are very clumsy).

Any tips would be very very appreciated.

these two laptops are basically the same thing one is 14 inches other is 16 but same chipset. Both refurbished by acer with 2 years warranty and both are are around 430 after coupon however over the past week they have dropped under 400 a couple times so I would just keep a eye on them.

Lunar lake chip is nice and snappy pretty modern chip and both have 1tb of storage. battery life easily over 10+ hours due to the chip.

Now for ones that are under 400 right now I couldn't find any lunar lake options, however, there are still some decent options

both in great condition the the second one has 1 year warranty. However, the second one is an ARM chip so you may have software compatability issues so if you don't know what ARM vs x86 is then you should probably just avoid unless you research it first.
