holy shit they made a new one?!?! and it has ONLINE PLAY!!

is the brake/throttle fighting game level tech shit still in it!?! I was so good at that as a kid. it was like L-canceling but for racing games.

Just note. Pods are a very very small part of this game.

I don't know what you mean. Do you mean that the "pod" style racers are a small part of it?

Podracing, like in Episode 1, is a small part of the game. It's fully realized and very well done, with tons of different racers and special maps that are adjusted just for these lightning fast vehicles. But they are extremely fast and hard to control, like they should be. Both in terms of gameplay and in-universe.

The majority of the game is focused on doing races while controlling one of three types of vehicles: a land speeder, a speeder bike, or a skim speeder. These have their own strengths and weaknesses and the races are as much about speed and handling as they are about smashing into the enemy racers and knocking them out of the race.

Do they still use the progression system that the n64 game had? Part of what I liked about it.

I assume since it's Star Wars Racing, it also involves starship racing, as well as pod racing on tattooine in the boonta eve classic. possibly even the kessel run?

Personally I disagree. Pods had their time and place in the lore of Star wars. The new machines are excellent and fit the game perfectly.

They're really neat! Never said they should do away with them, just lacking any kind of pod racing campaign at the moment.
