Serious question: do you eventually get used to the screen borders? I’ve thought of doing something like this but it’s always seemed so distracting

You can get pieces of transparent plastic that basically blur the borders and make it invisible. Used in a lot of sim racing rigs.

Or just imagine you are in a vehicle with an A pillar.

Even just watching the video, with how fast the gaming is moving, my brain is only focusing on the main screen. Probably even more convincing in person

During a racing game. They start to become unnoticeable especially if the game gives an fov slider. Usually, you’d be able to set up the front screen as the windshield and the side screens spilt around the A pillar so they’re a little hidden.

But it’s wholly dependent on the game and how your able to get things set up as well as your own ability to drown it out.

Just get a giant curved screen… they have them

Right? I legitimately thought that triple monitor setups for gaming were a fad that died out years ago.

3 large flat panels wrapping around you is better than the curved screens that don't wrap nearly as far around, unless you are spending crazy money. The sense of speed and peripheral vision is better that way. Best ones will use 3x65+inch panels, giving a large fov that is really immersive.

Somewhat, but even the 32:9 ones are like two monitors instead of 3. Pros and cons to each.

3 good monitors are like half the price and a larger field of view.

Yup! The bezels are definitely jarring when you first see a three monitor setup, but once you get in game, focus, and play; they truly disappear from your vision. Combine that with a dark room, you might as well be in the thing!

Have you thought of using bezel free lense strips to complete the illusion?

can’t you get like a blur strip or something, i remember seeing a video of that i believe cutting a monitor panel or something can’t remember but it should make the bezels basically disappear and probably make it even easier for them to disappear from your vision

I definitely could and considered it, but I actually move these monitors towards and back A LOT! The side monitors are floating on arms, and the center monitor pulled to the very edge of the desk. It covers my entire peripheral vision when playing. I push them back for other games on mkb.

Are those flight sticks i see? How much much opportunity do you feel like you get to use them outside of this and something like ace combat?

Elite Dangerous would be dope with these.

Although, I think I'd prefer on throttle and one joystick

Looking at it closer, i think this actually is throttle ans joystick.

This has inspired me. I wanted to make a set up. I was debating getting a vr headset, but they tend to make me sick. I think this may be a better alternative.

VKB makes some geat sticks and throttles. I use their Gladiator and STECS throttle for DCS and Falcon BMS flight sims.

In all honesty, occasionally. But that's just how it is I've learned. When they do come out, shit! One of the best purchases I've ever made! Same goes to VR and my racing wheel. I've said worth it countless times to all 3.

In my experience people that tend to have flight sticks near exclusively play games that will utilize said flight stick lol

Cool setup. Something like this might help with the bezel. ASUS ABF01 ROG Bezel-Free Kit Universal Multi-Monitor Setup with Optical Micro-Structures Easy Assembly

Thank you! Yea I've seen em. I actually don't have them simply because these monitor get moved a lot. I swap between flight sim, racing, and MKB games.

Your brain learns to tune them out. Didn't take long for me, ymmv.

For something like this, the vast majority of your attention is focused on the center screen, with the side screens mostly in your peripheral vision, so the screen borders aren't too distracting. For games that you're not so focused on what's directly ahead of you they're more annoying.
