General Discussion What is the most dragonlike being in the franchise?

Post image

I love all the fantastic animalia from Star Wars but I was wondering, which one is the most "dragonic" from all of them? For now I think that must be Varactyl because is just a gigant lizard.

I love it but wish we have something more draconic, maybe a gigant winged serpent or so. Is there something like that?

Krayt Dragon?

Nah krayt dragon is more like big sand worm, not really dragon with wings and all that. The varactyl in the pic looks cool but is close to a raptor with feathers, not so much classic dragon

Those are Greater Krayts. The Canyon Krayt is far more dragon-like in most of its appearances. I should know, I spent hours farming them on SWG for pearls to sell on the market.

Star Wars Galaxies. An MMO developed by Sony Online Entertainment set during the original trilogy. Ran from 2003-2011 after which the servers were shut down. Fun game.

There's two kinds of Krayt Dragons. The other form is more standard reptile shaped.

No it's not. They have sixteen legs.

Mandolorian changed it for some bullshit reason. Krayt dragons are very dragonlike to many sw fans

Not according to my 25 down votes.
Krayt dragon is a worm now.

I meant to add "Varactyl".

Kotor krayt dragon (aka where it originated from) is more lizard than Dune worm lizard(which Mandolorian changed for some reason)

Lmaooooo sandworm 🤣. Someone only watched the Disney starwars.

Well Disney starwars is primary source canon, like it or not

You’re very alone in that statement.
Because no one cares or agrees with what Disney says is canon in SW

(20 downvotes 🤣 well apparently people do love the slop Disney has given us.)

...as evidenced by all the upvotes on your comment.

Well f** me.
First everyone hates Disney Star Wars now they love it 🤷🏻‍♂️

First you're scoffing at dude for correctly pointing out how the EU isn't canon anymore (and hasn't been for fourteen years), and now you're pouting because he's right.

I guess now we know who is actually "very alone" in their statements.

There’s a difference between liking something and knowing that it’s the canon truth

-5

u/DarthRevyn 5h ago

Nah. It’s still the dragon from KOTOR.
Down vote me.

I wonder if people did this when Germ Theory first started to gain traction.

"Germs?? Poppycock! Maggots are spontaneously generated from rotting meat, and sickness is caused by Miasma!"

I mean, we apparently still have people who believe the Earth is flat, so...

Raptor with feathers is just a raptor

The Duinuogwuin are winged serpents with centipede like segmented bodies. They have organs that function like repulsor lifts to help them in flight. They can seal their bodies to survive in vacuum, allowing them to travel in space without a ship. They have an organ that performs cold fusion allowing them to spew atomic fire breath.

Yes! Had to scroll all the way to the bottom 🙄

In 'Legends' material, West End Games introduced the Duinuogwuin, or "Star Dragons," in their Star Wars roleplaying game supplement book Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races (1989), by Troy Denning, pages 31-32.

Duinuogwuin, sentient and spaceworthy winged reptiles with a whole damn lot of legs. They are also called Star Dragons. The first contact with them was a bit hillarious.

"What species of bird is most bird?"

Nothing.

There's no dragon like creatures. There no precedence for anything even with the word "dragon" in it in recent series or movies. This post is sarcasm
