Hi all,

Just watched last nights State of the Gate with David, Darren and Jenny Stiven, who works in the industry, and she shared some encouraging information about the campaign's impact.

She stated:

"I know that our campaign had an impact. I know that the campaign guided certain decisions, post-cancellation."

When asked directly whether #SaveStargate contributed to Amazon's mandate that the new Stargate series, now in the hands of Jac Schaeffer, remain in canon with the original TV shows, her answer was simply:

"Yes."

That's pretty significant. It suggests months of campaigning and showing our support for what came before genuinely made a difference. Amazon noticed and has given the hard-line mandate that whatever is to come and whatever Jac chooses to pitch is to be within the TV-universe! Job well done to all! This fanbase is awesome! ❤️

It's something worth remembering going forward. Of course, it's disappointing to say the least that Brad, Joe & Martin aren't involved... But that doesn't mean we should against the new series before we've even seen it, or before anything's green-lit.

We've spent these months, years fighting to bring Stargate back.

Now that there's movement, let's keep that enthusiasm and support alive, give the new team a fair chance, and hopefully, with this news, welcome a new chapter of the universe we all love, and maybe...just maybe.. some of the characters we all love. ❤️

Ill link the video here aswell so you can watch. Around the 42min mark in the video she talks about the campaigns impact, and what I just wrote.

Hi guys, I created puddle jumpers for Minecraft to work with my stargate mod. They are still in active development and more functionality will come

You can check whole mod here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/lantea-stargates

Jaffa Tree, I mean Kree!

A Star Wars reference in Stargate. Cool.

They also found the SWF file that’s animated. But I need to find a way to convert it to a gif or video.

I literally hadn’t spoken to them in over a decade, they saw my original post here and reached out to me

a few of y’all shared interest in seeing it higher quality. So here it is 🥰

Initially, I had the idea there were probably a few hundred million people in the galaxy, but this statement (S5 Ep 15) makes me wonder if it is in the billions. If Baal, a system lord, can wipe out 60 million people without a major loss to his power (assuming he wouldn't shoot himself in the foot), it makes sense he would have hundreds of millions himself. He doesn't seem especially more powerful than the other 6 system lords at the time either, so likely low billion for total.
Shortly after this Baal complains about losing 2000 Jaffa and it seems quite annoying to him, but I attribute this more to him not wanting to lose than having a significant loss for him.
Is this probably a throwaway line that didn't have this much nitpicking thought about the overall worldbuilding put into it? Absolutely, just something I've been thinking about.

Absolutely perfect comedy moment lol

Marked as spoiler just in case

Very unexpected. Had me laughing out loud.

Heres some more randomly selected concept art from the archives...

I generally don't like the silly, light-hearted episodes and prefer the core, story-arc shows, but I can't help but enjoying Fred Willard wherever he shows up. I lol'ed throughout the episode.

1. Roughly 20 years after the original finished, someone connected with the old show was working to get a continuation made.

2. Continuation is canned, new show-runner from recent critically acclaimed scifi series appointed instead for a reboot.

3. New series makes changes to modernise storytelling.

4. Fandom throws toys out the pram without even watching it.

I feel sorry for people who were desperate for a continuation, don't get me wrong, but it's no reason to hate on the new one when we don't even have any details.

On my zillionth rewatch, just noticed this
And its fun foreshadowing knowing they landed in the pacific

I was rewatching sliders Tv Show and there was an episode set up at a castle with an owner who always has some ulterior motives and gave the Dracula vibes. This was also a theme in one of the trek series (i forgot which)...is there something similar in stargate ? Not counting the alien archive one but might be a good contender.

Warhammer Day miniature revealed

That's a symbiote pouch if I ever saw one.

I’ve watched SG1 and SGA many times…. MANY times. However, I’m just realizing, the ship they found was Janus’s second time traveling ship that he was told not to make.

puts on tinfoil hat

Which means at the time of them being there an Ancient, Janus of course, was watching them.

passes out tin foil hats

Which also means, they were two tictacs away from meeting one. But of course tempering with time and blah blah blah…. Carter could explain it.

Edit:
Ok so a few Carters with Tin Foil hats explained something that I didn’t think of….

Janus goes forward watches - Yes he may be there but he also isn’t. Something to do with paradoxes and magnets.
Janus goes back far enough in time and creates the ruins and temples.
Janus ditches Jumper, and goes off to create Reese and MAYBE another jumper. I don’t remember another time he could’ve tempered with time other than Atlantis.

Now of course, the Carters explanation was much more in depth but…. That’s the jist.

Was scrolling through Prime and for some reason it was replacing titles of movies in my list with the Spanish title as it sometimes does and I noticed that Stargate was called “The Door of Time” in Spanish. Why does it have an entire other name? Just something added during translation? I’d imagine that a proper noun (especially in Spanish) would just translate 1:1 from English, plus it seems weird that “Door of Time” would be the title seeing as how time travel has nothing to do with Stargate (until the later series, movies, etc at least). Genuinely curious about what may have caused the translation to call it this
