WWE Crown Jewel: Men’s Champion vs. Champion Match – Official Match Graphic

u/mrcunnyfunt 3h ago
So the guy who has never beaten the other guy faces the guy who never loses.....I wonder how this will go 🤨
98
u/GapOk8380 3h ago
This will go 946 with Sammy winning. Gotta bring Roman into the fued somehow.
57
u/rivalrobot 3h ago
Harmless way to push that story forward too since he's not losing the title until Oba at Saudimania
39
u/GapOk8380 3h ago
It's the only crowd Sami could ever beat Roman in front of right now and get an actual pop, doesn't hurt Roman, furthers the wargames match and gives Sami more verbal ammo against punk and owens. Perfect storm.

u/Little-Mushroom-3961 3h ago
Woohoo yay. A hot new faction gets to lose to Roman and the bloodline at the annual bloodline wargames invitational. Good thing getting pinned by Roman is equivalent to winning 20 world titles.
3
u/freebread Flow, Like Wato 2h ago
Watch it ends up involving the Bloodline, 946, Owens, Punk, Gargano, Gunther, Balor and possibly Orton/Cody. Everyone is so focused on how much they are sick of the Bloodline that they forget Smackdown has its own 8 wrestler clusterfuck right now with constant run ins and fuck finishes.
Plus since neither Championship is on the line, it doesn’t matter who wins. This is likely the one match Roman could take a loss in, because it’s the only one where the outcome doesn’t mean shit for him or his title reign.
3
u/notathrowaway75 1h ago
So are people going to be predicting 946 interference until WrestleMania? Roman is winning clean lmao.

•
u/samjim122 28m ago
Roman’s current run is winning clean against people he cheated to beat in his first run
He’ll most likely beat Sami clean like he did Knight
0
u/Different_Cattle4420 1h ago
Safest loss for Roman too, considering the title isn’t on the line. From a storyline standpoint though, if Roman loses it has to be a loss that has a bold asterisk. It wouldn’t work if Roman lost to Sami clean if they’re building up Roman vs Oba.
11
u/vHezoThaGoat 2h ago
Let’s put our thinking caps on for a sec instead of being irrational.
Neither title is at stake, 946 just killed Roman’s family, war games is 21 days after in which the bloodline will quite obviously face 946 in some capacity, and the match is taking place in the adopted country of Sami where he won his first world title 4 months ago
There are plenty reasons to believe Roman will eat the pin here.
Roman has not fully jumped into the beef with 946 himself and with him booked all of November it’s clear they are going to fuck him over eventually. What better way to fuck him over then help Sami beat him?
3
u/mrcunnyfunt 2h ago
Don't you think it's concerning when we see Romans in a match and the title isn't on the line, and that is what builds slight doubt that Roman will win?
1
u/vHezoThaGoat 2h ago edited 2h ago
No?
He’s the biggest star in wrestling today and he’s the champ
I do agree that WWE shouldn’t have made him champ again in the first place but he’s clearly being set up to lose to Oba who is the greatest rookie WWE has had since Brock
If the title is not on the line then Roman should not be losing to anyone not named Oba Femi. He’s the biggest star and him losing should have grand value and not just him dropping the belt because “people want something different”
5
u/mrcunnyfunt 2h ago
Cena was the biggest star, Austin was the biggest star, they still dropped the belt plenty
0
u/vHezoThaGoat 1h ago
They also wrestled on a much more frequent basis than Roman Reigns. The guy who has cancer
Again, this wouldn’t be a problem if he just wasn’t champ at all
But he is. And with his very limited schedule there isn’t any time to waste by making transitional champs off of his name.
The guy that beats Roman for the belt should be an s tier superstar. Cody was, Oba is.
3
u/mrcunnyfunt 1h ago
Slightly strange bringing up he has cancer (glad he's kicking cancers ass) and disagreed, LA Knight could've won and dropped it straight back, wouldn't hurt Roman and would make LA
1
u/vHezoThaGoat 1h ago
What is the point in LA winning just to lose it?
That’s my point. There’s no substance in that at all. It’s just you wanting LA Knight to be able to say he was champ even if the reign itself last 1 week.
If LA Knight becomes champ I want a full reign. Not him winning it just to say he won it just to lose it back.
It’s not LA Knight’s time to win because it gets in the way of bigger plans. Once Roman drops the belt to the guy who actually deserves to beat him. I’d gladly take a 3/4 month LA Knight reign as a heel or even a face.
2
u/mrcunnyfunt 1h ago
What was the point of Angle beating Austin to the drop it on raw the next night? To elevate Angle

10
u/acemonsoon 3h ago
yeah ill put $1000 on roman
12
u/freebread Flow, Like Wato 3h ago
Neither championship is at stake, so if there’s one match Roman can lose it will be this one.
•
u/Jesuspolarbear 12m ago
And Sami's whole thing right now is being a heel underdog survivor where people expects him to lose, then he wins by the skin of his teeth anyway.
Either that or Roman wins clean again because his whole program currently is to prepare him for Oba and seemingly beat the people who he cheated against in the past but now cleanly on his own - that includes Sami.

1
u/Libertines18 2h ago
Honestly Sami beating Roman here makes a ton sense because Sami needs a win lol. But wwe doesn’t like Roman losing so Sami probably loses
1
u/Prof-Ponderosa 2h ago
Sami wins because there is nothing at stake here
Also Sami is nearly undefeated in Saudi. Ice build to WM
1
u/Strict-Standard-8373 1h ago
The guy who has never beaten the other guy clean faces the Last Real Good Guy

u/Little_Machinez 3h ago
I'm glad Sami is getting a long run as champ, but if they make him look like a geek ie Jericho after he beat Rock and Austin, then what's the point?
42
16
6
u/Bavles 1h ago
Jericho's undisputed reign is looked back on way worse than it should be. He was champion for over three months and the Stephanie stuff only happened at the end. People forget he also defended against both Rock and Austin at separate ppvs, as well as beating them both on Raw as well as Kurt Angle.
•
u/StoneColdAM WHAT? 44m ago
I thought they’d do something more nuanced with him being a babyface that’s bitter. It just feels like a rehash of whatever he did a few years back. The growth from Sami Uso kinda just is gone.

u/inkboundtr 3h ago

I have an insane suspicion Sami is gonna win with a roll up after some sort of interference.
3
u/RelationshipOk1954 2h ago
Blue Thunder Bomb, instead of roll up.
0
u/IJustLostMyKeyboard 1h ago
The roll up makes for a better story tho. It’s more of god mode gets caught slipping. If he pins him after a move, that doesn’t really work with Oba on the horizon, even with interference.
A roll up loss creates the first cracks in Roman’s confidence, until he becomes full paranoid again when he actually has to start realizing Oba is gonna beat his ass.
1
u/Icanfallupstairs 1h ago
Win or lose I'm guessing this could well be setting up Sami vs Roman at Mania. There is a lot to draw from storyline wise
19
u/AllezLesPrimrose 3h ago
An actual match that could be very good, if not for, y’know, the rockets and shit
11
u/ballofhorn99 3h ago
Sami should win clean to show he really at his best n the wwe title still top title
9
u/mrcunnyfunt 3h ago
Agreed, however the world is not that good a place
1
u/ballofhorn99 2h ago
Ya think they having Roman win everything clean cuz he probably retire/ leave soon so just giving him his last good run. Then in a year or 2 guys like Finn, LA, bron n all the other guys get their chance
1
u/ballofhorn99 2h ago
Plus I think Roman winning clean leading to Oba so Oba can beat him clean to be the next guy or so I hope. Or Roman beats Oba clean to then have Gunther beat Roman clean n retire him ha.

What is the point of this match unless Sami wins, and ideally clean?
3
u/HunterOfIgnominy 2h ago
The whole point of Crown Jewel is that there is no point. It's a glorified SNME.

u/Sharp_Cat_6124 3h ago

Either Roman wins clean or Roman loses due to interference.
9
4
u/vHezoThaGoat 2h ago
So Roman wins or he loses, truly groundbreaking criticism
This iteration of Sami beating Roman clean in short notice is in no way believable
Him beating Roman by interference is huge for his character, it’s not like Roman beat him clean at elimination chamber in 2024 anyways…

4
u/ComfortablyNomNom 3h ago
I'm so checked out from wrestling I totally didn't know Sami had the title again.
6
u/xjman329 just a chill lil guy 2h ago
He’s honestly one of the best parts of the show these last few months
3
u/rapidronyrabbit 2h ago edited 2h ago
And despite all the people calling him a geek he won the Title in a way that showed major competency for a cheating heel.
He ducked Owens' blast with the Title which is how Punk ended up screwed then disposed Owens with a hit to the balls to capitalize.
That takes more kayfabe skill than a MITB cash-in that guys like Miz used to become World Champion.

u/Uppercaseccc 2h ago
Why is the fed still advertising this show, like no for real why are they still acting like this show is happening why haven't they immediately canceled this show do to Riyadh being unsafe right now. Oh right casue TKO and the fed care more about money that the safety of its performers, production Tema, and its employees

Sami’s winning this one. He’s beaten Punk and Cody for the title already this year. Beat Cody clean too don’t forget
4
u/CheekSignificant9336 2h ago
sami’s obviously losing this but it would be so incredibly beast if he somehow managed to beat roman, punk, and cody in the same year.
4
u/Bed_human 3h ago
I thought we already knew Sami wins this? Wasn’t that the entire point of having the title on him
3
3
u/dalekofchaos 3h ago
How much is your talented wrestlers worth to you? Enough to send them in the likely hood of being bombed apparently.

u/SladeWilsonXL9 2h ago
Maybe they put Roman over clean at MITB so he can lose clean to Sami here at Crown Jewel?
1
u/Cube_ 2h ago
will never understand WWE's obsession with doing champion vs champion with 2 world titles. Why do they constantly book themselves into a corner. The entire point of spawning in the second belt is so that you can run 2 world title stories across separate shows and elevate more wrestlers. They already failed to do this with the universal belt because they booked Roman into double champ and clogged the main event for literal years.
And then they wonder why they struggle to make new stars. Just simply don't book this shit.
1
u/freebread Flow, Like Wato 2h ago
I hate that there’s so much shit going on around this event and match, because there having this rematch calling back to the Sami Uso days would have some amazing build up and be great. Especially since Sami not has the title that Roman held last time they fought.

u/Muadibased 2h ago
Penta cashes in, it's now a triple threat for both championships, 946 runs in with bloodline on their tails, some schmozing, Penta hits a destroyer on Roman, but Sami rolls him up and he's now Sami two-belts.
1
u/TheWholeOfTheAss 2h ago
Anyone who thinks this match is a good idea is a moron. World Champion v World Champion with zero consequences? Why!? So one World Title is weaker than the other? Wrestling became a work to avoid situations just like this! Stupid.

u/matt_619 2h ago
What if Sami get recruited as 5th member for team 946 for wargames. this doesn't mean he join 946 of course just temporary partnership

1
u/TheGaxkang 1h ago
So will Roman come to Smackdown?
Or does Sami have to go to RAW to beef?
Where Penta is....
1
u/ViggieSmallss 1h ago
They're doing a dual tapping on 11/2 so wouldn't be shocked to see him Sami appear on Raw and Roman to appear on the Smackdown prior to Crown Jewel.
1
u/smokingace182 1h ago
Surely there’s no way wwe is that fucking stupid the show still goes ahead? Also what wwe wrestle agrees to go for any amount of money? You can spend anything if you’re dead.
1
u/BackToTheFutureDoc 1h ago
Is it me or did they use AI here? I could be wrong but it looks Roman's title say CHHMPION under the big W.
1
1
u/WalterPregis 1h ago
With the way they’ve been booking Sami I can see 946 interfering and costing Roman the match.
Reigns eats a L but not cleanly and Sami gets his victory over Roman Reigns and gives him another few weeks of being absolutely annoying, this time with the feather in his cap of beating Roman Reigns.
1
u/Strict-Standard-8373 1h ago
Roman can’t beat Sami clean. He’s his kryptonite. The last real good guy will be standing tall!

May as well make it a triple threat and chuck LA Knight into it to eat the pin.

All this Saudi catering is ruining WWE. Only reason they have Sami as champ is so they can appease their bullshit crowd over there

Penta cashing in before then and meeting Roman as the other champion would be fun.
