Kick-off with the new Mr. Money in the Bank Penta making his way to the ring with a custom briefcase! THE CASE HAS FUCKING PYRO! Penta thanks the fans for their love and their support and thanks his opponents at Money in the Bank and they all have his respect. He wants to say from his heart that he's fought for every opportunity in life over the past 20 years and at Money in the Bank he fought one more time. This briefcase represents all the sacrifice and pain, everything that happened to prepare him. Now he has the power in his hands and warns the champions to watch their backs because when he cashes in he will become a World Champion because he has cero miedo! Je'von Evans returns from the dead with his arm in cast and limping out. Penta holds the ropes open for him as Jev'on, he says he's a little banged up, ribs taped up, they tried to send him home but he said no matter ribs he broke, no matter how bad his hell hurt, no way in hell he's going to miss Raw. The reason he didn't want to miss was because he had to tell Penta face to face that no one deserves to win that briefcase more than him and he earned it. The two hug but Bron Breakker sneaks into the ring and lines up a Spear but Je'von pushes Penta out of the way and takes the full brunt of the Spear himself. Penta starts to go after Bron but he escapes and Penta turns to check on Je'von as officials run down to get him help.
Adam Pearce tells Chad Patton that he needs him to referee the main event tonight. Chad asks if this is a punishment but Adam says he just needs a senior official who will be able to be able to keep order, get a pinfall or submission, and get out of there at the end of things.
The new Women's World Champion Liv Morgan and The Bloodline come down to the ring. She says you are now in the presence of the greatest Women's World Champion of allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll time! Finally after all the injustice done to her by Becky and Stephanie, the title is back home where it belongs. Liv says now it's time to become the first ever two time Crown Jewel Champion and is quickly interrupted by WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green. She says she respects Liv and wanted to get eyes on her competition at Crown Jewel so let the best woman win and extends her hand to shake. Liv laughs at Chelsea and says hand shakes are for equals and they are not equals, Chelsea isn't a fighting champion, she's not even a real champion. She says the only interesting thing about Chelsea is her friend Tiffany becoming Miss Money in the Bank but she got her injured so Chelsea is just a placeholder. Chelsea loves that Liv is underestimating her because that's what people have been doing to her her entire career. While Liv is out here partying, she's going to be training and at Crown Jewel when Liv is staring up at the lights she'll teach her to respect her. She says she won't take being called a placeholder champion by Dominik's placeholder girlfriend. Roxanne confronts her and says she'll never beat the Women's World Champion, she can't even beat the prodigy. Chelsea asks if she wants to see her try and challenges her to a match tonight.
Liv mocks Chelsea after her loss but Chelsea responds by smacking Liv sending her back. Raquel and Rox attack Chelesea and set her up before Liv hits her with Oblivion.
Backstage Jey tells Solo Sikoa that they're the captains tonight and whatever play they call he runs. Solo tells him that they gotta understand that they aren't his captains and Roman isn't his Tribal Chief. Jey asks what sort of special relationship he has with Roman and Solo that's between the two of them.
Oba struts his way down to the ring. He says The Ruler is in a very good mood tonight after what he did to Bronson Reed. He was told that there would be Tsunami after Tsunami after Tsunami, but then he gets to Lousiana and all he sees is still water and clear skies. He gave Bronson a crash course and at the end of the night Bronson learned the same lesson he taught Bron last month and will teach every man who steps in the ring with him. It doesn't matter who you are, how many people you have, or who they are everyone kneels to the ruler. He says The Vision are in the rearview mirror as he goes on to fulfill his destiny. Paul Heyman interrupts and says destiny was the exact word he was thinking of. He told Reed that he would have to hit Tsunami after Tsunami after Tsunami after Tsunami after Tsunami but he only hit one. No one had ever kicked out of the Tsunami before, but Oba Femi did. Heyman says when we look towards the future of WWE Oba is the guy right there, he was even better Saturday night than he was at Wrestlemania and Summerslam. Heyman says Oba sees a vision of the future with Oba as the future which brings him to his point. Oba tells him after everything they've been through this year, come on Paul and throws the mic out of his hand. He puts his hand on Paul as Heyman asks him not to hurt him. Oba says he isn't Brock Lesnar, he isn't Roman Reigns, those are Paul Heyman guys. He is an Oba Femi guy!
Backstage Iyo is talking to Adam Pearce about her next challenge when Lyra interrupts and says it's been two years of Pearce not having time for her. Lyra says she isn't safe with Bayley around and he needs to do something and says she's right there off in the distance. Pearce waves at her and tells Lyra she works her. Lyra storms off and Pearce tries to continue his conversation with Iyo but is interrupted by Roxanne and Raquel and Rox demands a shot at the WWE Women's Championship since she just pinned Chelsea. Pearce tells her to go to Smackdown and take it up with Aldis since he's busy with Iyo right now. Raquel says everyone forgot about Iyo and she remembers when she actually meant something and Iyo says she found her next challenge.
LA Knight is interviewed and says he doesn't want his flowers when Solo Sikoa comes up and says he deserves them for the fight he went through. Solo tries to explain that he isn't with The Bloodline but Knight says he doesn't have to explain anything and that they're good.
Stephanie Vaquer is interviewed as she walks out of the trainer's room on crutches. She says she is okay and that she took the match but didn't expect this to happen but each loss makes her stronger. Becky interrupts and scoffs at her being stronger and says all she has is a broke ankle and no title. Stephanie tells Becky she lost all respect for her at Money in the Bank and is ready to kick her ass again.
Fenix is interviewed, he says he wants to face Gable again very very soon but is cut off by Ethan Page who says he did an excellent job at squandering the opportunity he stole from him. He warns Fenix to stay in his lane and out of his opportunities. Page walks off before running back in and chucks Fenix into the road cases and beats him down until Chad runs in to fend him off.
Solo Sikoa sets up Royce Keyes for the Samoan Spike but he is hit from behind by a masked man with a crowbar. The man reveals his bandana to reveal it's Carmelo Hayes! He strikes Solo again with the crowbar as Price and Nima throw The Usos back into the ring and Melo strikes them down as well with the crowbar laying them out. 946 stands on top of The Usos and Solo as Royce says he told them nobody's safe.
Royce Keys’ turnaround has been amazing. He was going through the motion as a nice guy on SD, but he seems to be really enjoying this role, and has reached a new level of aura.
The big issue is that 946 needs to actually win but Roman is right there.
Roman should lose to Sami due to 946 interference but that's what the fourth time we want that now? It's not going to happen but again it should because that would give Roman motivation to join the Bloodline against 946 at War Games. Where 946 wins and takes Roman's belt hostage.
None of this is going to happen because Roman must always be strong.
My ideal scenario would be Knight joining 946 as the 5th man for Wargames (like Drew did with the Judgment Day before) and pinning Roman there. It won't happen because like you said Roman must always look strong, but I can dream.
Last time Roman lose in the wargames and still managed to win royal rumble 2 months later
There's no harm making Roman lose to Sami due to interference. he still protected because it was interference and unlike the other matches he still keep his title even if he lose while still getting huge pop from the pro Sami crowd in Saudi
and there's no harm in making Roman lose in the wargame either. there are 4 other guy on his team who can eat the pin
If Roxanne manages to beat Chelsea for the WWE Championship then we could kick off Morgan vs Perez at Crown Jewel. I want my president to be forever champ, BUT it could be an interesting way to tell that story. Especially since Liv usually wins by cheating... except she's facing one of the two people that helps her cheat.
How are they gonna build Chelsea vs Liv in less than a month? Unless Tiffany cashes in immediately for Morgan vs Stratton, but the two don't feel that distinct from each other. I say as a fan of both Liv and Tiffany.
I mean they've already started that build tonight. Whereas the other way, you have to have Roxanne somehow win the world championship despite being a jobber atm, turn on Liv which would need a lot of time to breathe as it would be shocking, and explore what Raquel and the rest of Judgement Day would do.
WWE just doesn't work that fast. It'd be cool if they did tbh but there's no chance that's gonna happen by Crown Jewel
This would be cool and Drew would dwarf Oba somewhat being 2 inches taller and much leaner/more muscular - but I’d rather not see them just feed Drew to Oba.
I don’t see them having Oba lose at all until he wins that title.
I was watching the show on a 1hr delay (so able to fast forward). I just skipped past most of the match. It might have been fire but Chad's character is a milquetoast face since the end of the mask vs mask match and Fenix is a discount version of his brother.
If they did something to cast aspersion on Chad's recent face turn (e.g. someone claims he's just faking it) or added some kind of wrinkle to the story - then I'd be interested because it might be developing into something fun.
But I've never been interested in random bangers for the sake of it. It's the laziest form of booking to expect me to care because you just chucked two good workers together. Back in the day, that was done to open Nitro and give the fans something whilst the story beats of the show for the main event were laid in.
Giving it 20 mins and calling it MOTY doesn't move the need one little bit. I just scrubbed through it as I would expect most WWE fans to do. We're looking for a reason to care, not fancy acrobatics.
My fantasy booking was Roxanne wins MITB, Liverpool fails to recapture women's world title.
Damien Priest returns as leader of the judgement day and makes them a serious heel group. He kicks Liv Morgan out as shes the only woman that isnt holding something valuable. Roxanne becomes the women's face of the group.
Liv pleads with Dom but because him and JD aren't holding gold they just agree with Priest to keep him happy and stay in the group.
Is the key to getting over as a face in WWE to do a heel turn and then redemption arc? I can see Melo going down that path, because he was a solid face. Excited to see him back.
If so that makes LA Knight all the more impressive for being the one guy who hasn't really had to turn heel.
As a teenager growing up during the Ruthless Aggression Era and into the Divas, if you will, it's refreshing that the most authentic wrestler I am into right now is Chelsea Green.
I was really hope Pearce would be like to perez "yeah you did beat a world champ, I can't make a title match against Chelsea, that's a aldis smackdown thing but we have a champ over here, so you can fight her if you want for the title"
Truly can’t win with some folks in the IWC. Melo was off tv for months as a face on Smackdown after he lost the us title and constantly snubbed from PPV’s. Now him being in a main event storyline and faction is somehow a negative 🤦🏿♂️
i really enjoyed chelsea vs roxanne, chelsea can go when they let her wrestle and give her time but they always had good chemistry. excited for the rematch but the selling and crowd was on point and got really good towards the end as well. the pace was good and the false finishes as well. one of the better womens matches on mr this year
That was a pretty sick episode. Complete turnaround from the pretty underwhelming MITB. Carmelo joining 946 was a swerve I didn’t see coming and gives the group something special. Parker’s dive was awesome. Group looks the part.
Gable putting on certified bangers for fun. Rey still kicking it after all these years. Penta’s briefcase has its own pyro. Wow!
I really enjoyed the women’s segments. I noticed a few little expressions from Roxanne. The sort of stuff Batista did before he left Evolution. They’re obviously going to run it down the road but I like the hints.
I get why you mean. He is a Little too nice. I don’t want him to go back to being Heel but it would be nice if he still had some of that assholeness he had before like when he called Maxxine Taylor not so Swift once. Just have him do that to heels instead.
After his matches he acts like a big brother who hurt his Little bro like please stop crying I’ll give you cookies dont tell mom. It’s ok to do an handshake and a Little hug after a baby faces match but he is nearly crying the throws the belt to the side he goes to the opponent are you okay is your ankle okay do you need anything?
And the luchadores matches are fine but get him into a personal feud with Ethan already
For someone who spent years as a heel, Chelsea’s very good at showing babyface fire. Her defiantly slapping Liv while down in the corner was a nice and well-played moment. Rox winning initially seemed odd, but her getting a title shot off it made that decision make more sense as Chelsea can get her win back. The chance of Rox becoming champ is also a logical way of setting up her becoming that bit more resentful and starting to get irked she’s the only Judgment Day woman with no gold. Playing it this way also sets up more stakes for Crown Jewel, where they could perhaps have Chelsea actually beat Liv say thanks to Tiff teasing a cash-in. My only issue at the moment is that they’ve given Raquel nothing as a champ (with Liv/Rox getting the shine of late), so giving her some more credibility as champ would do more to make the Rox angst matter than it just being her being annoyed at Liv and a paper champ.
I have a feeling Raquel probably isn't long to hold the IC title, considering her next challenger is IYO SKY, and I don't see WWE having Iyo lose to Raquel.
Definitely possible Iyo just wins, but at the same time, Raquel already has some teased title feuds like Lola and the winner of Lyra/Bayley, so it’s not guaranteed and might even be more interesting storytelling if Iyo doesn’t succeed.
I acknowledge my Tiny Chief as always but sorry her winning was ridiculous. Chelsea has been booked weak as hell and needs something to actually make her look strong for the Crown Jewel match. Chelsea vs Liv is creating a great heel face dynamic though, making Liv winning more palatable.
Also, "Dominik Mysterio's placeholder girlfriend' would actually hit as an insult if they bothered to actually develop Rpxy being in the group and attracting Dom's attention. Since they didn't what does it even mean? Liv and Dom have been together for two years now and there has been no hint that Dom views her as a placeholder for someone else.

Melo being in 946 is fucking fantastic actually. Makes so much sense for his character.
They hinted later in the show at Rox getting a title shot on Smackdown, so that’s probably where Chelsea wins. Also, Pearce casually waving at Bayley was a good visual gag.
I feel that Oba should be the last battle for Roman to go out on; imagine Roman realizing “holy shit this guy is different” and then having to acknowledge HIM instead.
I thought Melo being added was fun but honestly yeah. I'm being told they're such a big deal but they're not really doing anything.
Nobody is safe and yet no one is being attacked. And of course there's the Roman and Oba elephant in the room. Keyes needs to hold the world title hostage to be an actual threat but he's obviously nowhere near it right now nor will he be in the near future.
It's a completely manufactured setup for War Games.
Especially with the addition of Melo! This man should be one of the many men fighting for the US/WWE Title on Smackdown as a solo act. Now they have iced him off completely by making him a henchmen for Keys.
Respectfully disagree. This is his first time in an actual main event storyline. That’ll do more for his stock then being stuck in the Smackdown midcard being outshined by trick. He already had a us title run another would’ve been nice but this will elevate him more imo
But the problem is they were more intimidating when they actually had more guys on the team. Right now it's just Dom and JD. If anything they could have the guys step away and just let run it as a girls faction

I think a heel Knight would do wonders as the mouthpiece of the group. Although, he'd be the only white member at the same time which might not work lol
I think they may swerve who’s turning heel and have Jacob align himself with his good friend Royce. Just makes more sense as Roman’s been having him act like a lap dog the whole time.
What a great episode after a disappointing MitB. Roxanne gets a big win and maybe a championship match on SmackDown, the Gable/Fenix match was an absolute thriller, and that main event was f’n cool! IYO now going after the IC title. Good stuff.
Happy Roxanne got a big win but of course it’s against Chelsea. She will probably defend and retain against Roxanne on Smackdown which should be fun, but after the crowd response at MITB I hope they have bigger plans for her
They missed the opportunity to have them come out and beat the shit out of Roman and LA knight and ruining the title match and showing them as a serious threat, Roman not being involved in this makes them look like a bunch of jobbers
I couldn't really dig Royce Keys as a babyface like they started him out with. I get that he does have an nice emotional story of him growing up (and his mom), but a guy that big is hard to tag with "underdog emotional babyface".
But as a tough as nails, take no prisoners, monster heel?

starting as a face let us get to know him more, the other 2 guys in 946 seem like generic tough guy heels but royce keys has more aura since he has a deeper story
Honestly that initial ill fitting babyface run adds a lot to the ruthless monster he’s become. If he walked in in the current role idk if it hits the same
I love how Jacob beating the absolute hell out of Keys didn't make him to be another sympathetic face, but remolded him into an even more dangerous kingpin who amassed his own group of ruthless individuals as well; and I've a feeling he's not stopping at Melo too.

I actually think the 946 wins. The endgame for this is Roman vs. Royce, and Wargames is the perfect time for 946 to get the leverage over the Bloodline to earn a title shot. Plus, they don't have to have Roman take the pin in Wargames.
So who joins 946 for WarGames? Jacob or LA? I'm thinking LA with the stip that if 946 wins, he gets a title shot. They win and he gets a shot with 946 helping him win?
Either that or Solo gets LA a title shot to help the Bloodline at WarGames. IDK how but LA is gonna be involved with this somehow.
Ok the last two matches really saved the show for me. Gable vs Fenix banger. Main event was awesome with a great reveal at the end. This 946 faction is so great and they need to capitalize on them. Melo joining was a fantastic addition. I would like to see a Bron vs Je'Von feud. Also what they hell are they gonna do with Oba now if he's really done with the vision.
