He put in all that work just to get brushed aside and basically forgotten about. Story/character wise, this type of shift tracks for him, it's gonna be great to see him just be pissed for a while and take it out on people.
I feel like unless they somehow did 6 vs 6, the remaining members for the faces storyline wise should be Jacob and Roman. And maybe LA Knight turns heel and joins 946 for the match
I'm choosing to be incredibly excited instead of thinking about the real possibility of him being the Theory pin eater for the group even though they have younger guys who can afford that more.
Hopefully he’ll be able to avoid that. Bronco and Lucien weren’t exactly in the greatest position in NXT before this started. While they should definitely keep looking strong, hopefully that means that they can take pins too if need be.

I legitimately didn't even know OTM was a thing until they showed up on Raw. Whenever they were on NXT I just thought that Jaida Parker had some random goons with her.

Smackdown’s mid card though is insanely thin now though. Rey Fenix isn’t really part of it anymore, Baron Corbin lore is finished, Ricky Saints is solely going after Rey. Who is left to defeat Trick?
I’m a little nervous about a him going heel again, solely because I think his work is just overall better as a face, but from a character standpoint this is the biggest move for him since coming to the main roster.
Don't be mistaken, 946 is a vehicule for Royce Keys first. Melo being a relevant player in the US/Int. title picture again is already a HUGE step.
On the other hand, if Keys push works, Melo is also going to work with all those main event guys, if only to take pins, but still with main event guys. And that's how you can work your way up.
If Melo was just as tall as anyone in 946, he already became world champ. Being on the Bloodline program puts you on the main story. Its up to him now if he can put that momentum into another title. But now, I wanna see him in the main event.
I’ll go against the grain and say I’m glad they’re doing something with Melo but 946 are a faction that are on a fast-track to being the next Sololine where they’re featured heavily for a few months, never win the big one and they haven’t a clue what to do with them by the middle of 2027.
I mean if you want 946 taken as serious threat, have them to go for all of the championship. Melo can easily go after the IC title with Royce going for the World title
This makes the "946" name make even LESS sense. The name is a reference to the Oakland Zip code, but Bronco Nima is the ONLY MEMBER from Oakland. Royce is from East Palo Alto, which has a 943 Zip code. And the rest of them aren't even from CA, let alone Oakland. Price is from Maryland, Hayes is from Massachusetts, and Jaida is from Florida.

I thought Solo was going to join them. I thought Solo and 946 were secretly working together and all the attacks on Solo was fake to take down the Bloodline from within.

Phenomenal choice and glad Melo is apart of SOMETHING. They’ve really been hitting with this group (I’m a sucker for factions as it is) week after week.
A troublemaker group. They set cars on fire, run people over, kidnap them, very bloody attacks (by WWE standards). They're a no-nonsense group, which is a breath of fresh air. They're feuding with the Bloodline for months.
Hopefully they do a better job with their direction of Melo than what they did with Austin Theory joining The Vision.. started off ok, and Theory looked like he'd be a legit singles competitor.. now he's filling the role JD did when Priest and Balor were the top Judgement Day guys..
Because of his braids, I really thought that was Leon Slater for a second and was about to flip shit (in a good way). But Carmelo is an excellent addition to the group and was the change his career needed rn.
I wonder how Scrypts aka Reginald feels knowing his faction moved on to the best storyline in years without him lmao. But damn, Carmelo needed this. Dude swerved us all
