Pac's wife Natalie Satterley shares a message on Instagram about her late husband

u/doopdapdeedap 14h ago
Thank you for our beautiful life darling. Twenty one years ago we became friends, nineteen years ago we fell in love and eleven years ago we were married. Two souls entwined in one; my best friend and better half.
You always worked so incredibly hard to ensure we would have a great life together, both now and once you had retired. The cruelty of having all of our future hopes and dreams snatched away will never feel real. You were so excited to get home to us, you were going to shoot hoops all week with your best mates, we were going to set up your new home gym and take Wilfie for some autumnal walks, have pizza at Rudy's on your cheat day, go to the match, see Sam Campbell live. We're all just waiting for you to walk through the door again darling, and the idea that will never happen is beyond comprehension.
I can't believe it's been over two weeks already since we last spoke, I can't believe I'm making this post. We will try our hardest to get through this nightmare and look after each other as I know that's what you would want, but we will miss you every minute, of every hour, of every day. Love you eternally pet ♥️

u/aitherion YOU WILL REST IN PEACE AT WM!! 14h ago
Of course PAC was a Sam Campbell fan. Legend.
87
u/LegislativeLariat 13h ago
It's a bit of a bittersweet feeling knowing that Pac probably watched Sam Campbell's Taskmaster compilation if not his whole season if he was going to be going to a live show. Gonna rewatch it and have some laughs in memory, I think. If it turns out he was watching the Guy Mont Spelling Bee too, I think that would break me for a while.

His joke through the season of dressing in boring, grey, drab clothing then appearing in the most colourful outfit complete with bleached blonde hair was genius.
21
u/GrecoRomanGuy STRONG STYLE FOREVER 13h ago
Sam Campbell going "a PinocchiOOooOoo" about the first thing he brought to Taskmaster, and then introducing the most fucked up marionette I've ever seen is a top five television moment for me.
88
u/shilly-shallywolf 14h ago
finding out he was flying home to see her and his family was really what broke me, all the best to them.
50
u/theshockmaster_ 13h ago
Rudys pizza is superb. Man of taste.
Lost a mate recently and can relate to the part that you think they'll walk through the door any minute. Every time I go out with mutuals there's part of you waiting to see him.

u/CaliSasuke 13h ago
🥺😢 That was so emotionally heart wrenching to read. This whole outcome is bitterly unfair.
They had a whole life ahead of them. Plans and time to be spent together. A simple return was expected. PAC to walk through that front door and embrace. It breaks my heart knowing that simple expectation between the two is no more.
I genuinely feel sad for Natalie. I hope Natalie will be able to heal.
21
u/AnfowleaAnima 13h ago
Heartbreaking. She sounds like whatever happened to him was out of the blue for her as well. Conclusion may seem heart attack, but if he had regular check ups some would be aware of heart issues. Just my doubts, don't want to make too much out of that. 40 is too young, but we will always keep PAC's memory alive.
30
u/BDRD99 13h ago
I’m no medical expert but there are definitely complicated heart issues that aren’t noticed by regular medical checkups.
6
u/Phenomenomix 10h ago
Wolff Parkinson White and WPW syndrome seem to be regularly missed or not picked up until later life or after an incident.
I think a lot of people go through life experiencing random pain or discomfort but because it passes you assume it’s nothing major and 99% of the time they’re fine.
4
u/JustATributeCC René Dupree Can Suck A Dick 8h ago
MVP only got diagnosed in his mid-30s during a routine medical with WWE.
12
u/DuctTapeSloth 13h ago
From my experience, regular PCP check ups probably wouldn’t catch anything like that. They will order tests if you have an issue but that is only if you have symptoms and even then they will send you to a specialist.
3
u/AnfowleaAnima 12h ago
Oh, I did mean specialized cardiac checkups. I’d just imagine that, whether they’re sent by a major promotion or pay for them privately, wrestlers would want to get checked out every year, especially if they’re using any substances. Maybe I just don’t want to believe that a wrestler of PAC’s caliber and experience wouldn’t have been aware of certain health issues, or that they couldn’t have been detected beforehand. But I imagine he would’ve experienced some symptoms, too.
2
u/DuctTapeSloth 8h ago
Just look at Christian Eriksen(soccer player) someone who had top medical staff, went through constant physicals and wasn’t on anything. Luckily he was on the pitch when it it and got medical attention right away. Sometimes thing go unnoticed.
-2
u/Black_XistenZ 10h ago
I think in the case of athletes who engage in massive amounts of drug abuse - and let's be honest here: PAC was obviously juiced to the gills! - their heart can sometimes just give up out of the blue, without a long period of warnings symptoms.
1
u/DuctTapeSloth 8h ago
I mean, yea he looks like he was but you can’t be for certain. Look at Christian Eriksen(soccer player) who wasn’t on anything and had heart issues without knowing. Luckily he was on the pitch when he had his issue and got medical attention right away..

u/Zauberstaby 12h ago
The autopsy came back clean, and we are waiting on additional (toxicology) tests. With this information, and Ricochet saying if only he could do more, I really don't know what to think. He was just off the interstate going to O'Hare to fly to NY for Andy's funeral. If it wasn't for this, he probably would have caught a flight with Ospreay back to the UK. He was SO EXCITED to be back home. This is so confusing and sad. I can't help my mind to keep asking WHY and try to figure out WHAT HAPPENED!?!? Just a very heavy heart! 💔 💔 💔
Rest in Peace Mr. Satterly!

Absolutely still guttering

u/Fundertaker Come on, I'm Dean 14h ago
I really respect famous performers who have no interest in being celebrities. Fuck this parasocial shit. You’ve gotta know the difference between who you are on stage and who you are at home.
Seems like PAC was one of the best in this regard (and every regard, tbh).
71
u/KruleDiablo 13h ago
From the fans that did happen to see him out and about you wouldn't even guess he's a pro wrestler by the looks of him. He apparently dresses like a school teacher
67
u/sarahmagoo 13h ago
Every pic I've seen of him outside of wrestling makes me think I'd 100% be fooled by Clark Kent
12
u/Black_XistenZ 10h ago
To be fair, in a lot of pics, PAC looked like one of the hobbits had stumbled across a vial of super soldier serum, and I mean this in the best way possible.
10
u/Fundertaker Come on, I'm Dean 9h ago
I was just thinking, he probably always rocked the full gear because he looks way too friendly in casual wear.
9
u/KruleDiablo 9h ago
You pull that hair back into a ponytail and put on some regular clothes and yeah you would get an entirely new person
10
u/Phenomenomix 10h ago
The few photos I’ve seen of him dressed normal (or in his case in more than just his pant and boots) he looked like an entirely regular guy.
26
u/damnrapunzel 13h ago
I've heard he was ready to go back to Newcastle and become a postie before signing with AEW. He seems like he stayed really down to earth, which is funny considering

u/Fundertaker Come on, I'm Dean 9h ago
It has always been my headcanon for why The Bastard was so cranky. Dude flew across the ocean to put up with Orange Cassidy’s antics when he could have been in his homeland delivering mail.
11
u/jmspinafore 12h ago
There's definitely celebrities who are performance and use family as part of their brand.
But, even as someone who doesn't share much with my name attached on social media, I've come to realize that some people just express themselves differently. Even just thinking of someone from high school on Facebook, they may just be so excited about their kid's baseball game or whatever and that's why they are sharing. Not because of attention seeking.
I like to point to engagement and birth announcements from newspapers when people pretend this is a modern phenomenon.
9
u/RevolutionaryChief 12h ago
Right!! Even with obituaries, people have been announcing shit like this since we invented the job of town/village criers.
3
u/Fundertaker Come on, I'm Dean 9h ago
Yeah, I’m totally cool with that stuff. There’s a difference between providing semi-performative life updates to your extended social circle versus performing life for the masses to consume.
4
5
u/BobbyBruceBanner 11h ago
Looking at the photos in this post, and all the ones shared in the past few weeks, and realizing I don't know that I'd ever seen a picture of him smiling until now. Just nothing from the personal life where it legitimately seemed like everyone loved him and he loved everyone.
5
u/Black_XistenZ 10h ago
He did a fantastic job maintaining kayfabe and keeping his sweetheart rl personality hidden from the fans who were supposed to see him as a perpetually furious bastard.

u/Singer211 13h ago
I’m reminded of a story that, when Misawa died, even some of his closest friends were surprised when his wife and child came to his funeral.
Even they did not know he was even married.

The poor woman. You can tell from the photos they were deeply in love. My heart goes out to her and the rest of their family.
244
u/misskittyfantastico 14h ago
I’ve been thinking a lot about Bayley saying that PAC didn’t really start goofing around with her and Carmella in NXT until his wife met them and took a liking to them. Which just tells me how highly he valued her and her opinion. My heart still breaks for her. 💔
79
u/D-Voltt 13h ago
Such a respectful thing for PAC to do as well. Like, yeah, I'm sure he would have been totally fine goofing off with his female co-workers from the jump, but he wasn't comfortable doing that until it was clear his wife approved of them and was 100% cool with it as well. Erring on the side of caution like that shows a level of mindfulness for his relationship that is truly admirable. What a guy.

u/Anderrrrr An Irrelevant Smark. 14h ago
One minute he was here business as usual grabbing food to eat and the next, gone.
Like a light switched off and the light fuse blew.
I still don't know what to say really.
65
u/MikeJeffriesPA 14h ago
Not that it's any of our business to know, but not knowing what happened makes it feel even worse. Just that reminder that it can happen to any of us.
11
u/NesNobnaz 11h ago
Honestly, I'm less worried about me and more worried that it could just happen to any of my friends.
4
u/TilAlexandrosXVII 5h ago
We do essentially know what happened, just not the actual mechanics of it. The only thing they're waiting on right now is toxicology, if it were some freak heart/brain incident that would've been caught in the initial autopsy, so some kind of toxic respiratory reaction happened with the medicine found in his car (whatever that was, they've redacted the info about it and I'm not going to speculate) and they need tox to confirm that
34
u/MarkyMarkWahlburgers 14h ago
I'm still waiting for him to walk out with the Death Riders, but I know he isn't. Doesn't feel real man.
Pac's death hurts so much just like when we all lost Bray.
12
u/IconicVillainy 13h ago
The other day when they came out it looked and felt like somebody was missing. It really doesn't feel real
2
u/MarkyMarkWahlburgers 3h ago
It's an awful feeling especially since it happened out of nowhere. When death hits randomly you just don't bounce back and feels like your lost in a fog
3
u/GamerJosh21 6h ago
Pac and Bray. Both in the prime of their careers. Gone in an instant. Fucking tragic, man. It's still hard to wrap my head around it/them.
2
u/MarkyMarkWahlburgers 3h ago
They both had so much to give, what they did give us we forever be remembered. I always loved Pac and Orange going at it both had great chemistry.
I seriously miss Bray the most man, I don't think I'll ever get over it. Never meet him or anything but was a real big fan and truly loved his storytelling. God him and Cody or Punk would been fucking awesome.

Ben was a damn good husband and he really really loved his wife.
In the WWE tribute Bailey mentioned that Ben was a big practical joker but would not joke around with the women until his wife meet them. He opened up only after that.
Respect to Ben. Much respect. RIP.

Off topic, Natalie Satterley sounds like the protagonist in a kids book.
26

Learning his surname was Satterley and his wife was called Natalie was an insane double whammy. Natalie Satterley is an incredible name.

I feel for his wife. Losing your partner is a very tough thing. I know a few people who have lost their partners and it takes time to heal. Some never heal at all and suffer with the loss their entire lives.
Thoughts and condolences out to her.
18
u/Acceptable-Dress7196 13h ago
And to lose him so young. Let’s say she’s his age, they were together half their lives. Being widowed at 40 is way too young

I mean this in the nicest way possible, I'm glad PAC kept his life personal.
Hearing about the man like this makes it very kind. I didn't know or ever thought of him beyond being PAC. Good to know that he was a good guy to have around. Sort of hammers in the whole heels being the real life babyfaces thing. Always makes me chuckle.
6
u/ackinsocraycray HEY GO FUCK YOURSELF. GET THAT GUY OUTTA HERE. PIECE OF SHIT. 13h ago
I get where you're coming from. As a wrestling fan, I knew everything about Neville/PAC. And whatever else he allowed himself to share in vignettes, promos or in candid photos with his friends.
I remember being shocked that PAC shared his photo of him and Andy after his passing. Because it felt so wildly out of character for PAC to be anything but angry and menacing. His goodbye to Andy was one of the rare times he allowed the fans to see how vulnerable he could be, even for a moment.
He literally kept his public and private life separate. And his peers respectfully did the same for him. Even laughing that Ben would hate that we're now all learning how great of a man he was.

u/Due_Degree2802 14h ago

u/xysany 13h ago edited 13h ago
Considering how much traction the news pages posting this is bringing to her page. I hope she’s okay with the traction considering she didn’t have much followers when posting this
There’s a chance she wanted to just share this to her close circle so in that case the last thing you’d want someone dealing with a loss like this and sharing a post to her close circle is having hundreds and hundreds of people jumping to follow her, and it leaving her orbit. In the case she possibly didn’t want that.
Sending her love

Yeah, these are the kind of posts I just can't handle. I would literally spurn anyone on the planet for my wife. Even the slightest bit of empathy in putting myself in her shoes is just too much to bear. I can't imagine how she is coping with this.

Heart breaking. Poor woman. I can't even fathom how you begin to pick up the pieces. I hope she finds some solace and peace. Thought about him a lot this last weekend. It really does feel like Brodie all over again. Just a kind, sweet, family man and unbelievably talented guy gone far before his time.
I guess that saying "only the good die young" comes from situations like this.

Also by the pics, you can take the lad out of Newcastle but never Newcastle out the lad. Think the second to last one might have been at the Cup parade and I might have walked past him without realising it.

u/ZodiacWalrus THE RAIN 10h ago
There's never a good time or place for it, but to go through death of a loved one who died while overseas obviously presents its own unique shape of dagger to the heart. Whether they were a regular traveler for work like PAC or just had to make one trip by themselves for any of a mountain of other reasons. We think we've mastered object permanence until we're forced to learn that some things don't come back to us safely after they leave. Some don't come back at all. It's enough to make you want to cling tight to loved ones and never give them the chance to get hurt out there.
