I worked at a venue that had a WWE show and these rehearsals were ‘proof’ to my idiot co-workers that wrestling was ‘fake.’ ‘Look, look they rehearse all that shit! We told you it wasn’t real.’ Those fuckwits. But hey I saw Dolph Ziggler animatedly go over his finish with Pat Patterson and for a wrestling nerd like me that’s pretty damn awesome.

I told them they saw Beyoncé rehearse her shows. Is she a fake too!? Somehow wrestlers practicing was a real gotcha moment for them. Yeah, not around those people anymore.

It looks a lot better. As ridiculous as it might sound, I really believe removing ads from the mat and going back to the plain canvas would improve the presentation of the show by a lot.
Ads on the ring apron and barricades is bad enough, but trying to sell the emotion of a moment with a wrestler lying on top of a Slim Jim logo or whatever is really distracting.

I'm against the ads on the mat, apron, etc. But to be honest it's not as bad as I feared. It doesn't look great, but I forget it's there a lot of the time

The one simple thing they could've done to make the Evans ladder/ambulance spot look not as silly; back up the ambulance. Then the back is closer to the ring and the ladder could be placed in a spot where it looks like he can actually reach the briefcase.

i went to a thuganomics era house show in german, and one of the restaurants let us in/on the balcone and we watched iirc correcte John cena. Kane and Batista warming up. i have a video somewhere buried in my harddrives here

likely some low level arena worker took that pic. very big no no. fireable offense. used to work at an arena so i know. sports, wrestling, concerts, etc. they always close the curtains to the bowl for rehersals. NEVER peep behind the curain during rehersals.

This is the part I find the most fascinating.
I don't even care that it's scripted.
Do they have stunt coordinators for some of these spots, or is it just like "Yeah, I think I can do that."
We don't know the script. We have guesses and sometimes educated guesses, but until the end we don't know.
You get caught up in the action and the story you forget about most of it.
Like the outtakes at the end of a Jackie Chan movie. They're fighting eachother, but if something goes wrong they immediately stop and help.

That spot Evan’s took through the ambulance was honestly too reckless for me to even enjoy it. Such a small target to hit without hitting the upper frame of the ambulance itself. Yeah it’s gimmicked, but I doubt all four side walls of it were too, even if you pad the tops of the walls. Bro was smart though cause you could see him with his hands behind his head holding/ guarding it.
