...and authoritarian conservativism always lands on the wrong side of history

As does authoritarian liberalism. See Stalin for reference.

Stalin wasn’t liberal in the slightest.

He was a totalitarian dictator who built a police state and used a centralised economy which is as far removed from liberalism you can be.

... I'm confused, what was his party called again?

You do know the difference between labels and contents right? Or are you one of those "people" that also proclaim Hitler to be a socialist?

Thats the point. Look at how every single one of them started. What happens when they gain power? How many times does history need to repeat itself before people learn?

Every single one? So you’re trying to say Hitler wasn’t authoritarian when he started out? Same with Stalin?

Both is factually wrong. Hitler was a full blown antisemite before he was even in the political spotlight and Stalin was a violent activist who led a very strict, violent and organised militia. Hierarchy was always very important to both of them and at the top it always themselves. Doesn’t sound liberal or socialist to me mate.

Sigh, its clear I wont change your mind, but im going to try to help you see it a bit more clearly, because I think its best we understand it from an unbiased perspective.

First, youre right! What your saying here isnt wrong, but youre leaving parts out. Look at who they were violent against (the state). Why? (Oppression of the lower class, poverty, harsh living) who did they have on their side? (The people on the premise of raising them out of poverty). They may have been authoritarian in their hearts before anyone else knew. They lied and schemed to get where they wanted to be. It was always for the greater good of the country and its working people.

My point is, its a repeating cycle. It happens every time.

he was a COMMUNIST.

COMMUNISM=/=LIBERALISM just because your tiny american brain can't handle triple-axis politics.

The label said communist. In reality there never was a true communist state. It was all authoritarian af and always had the goal to enrich the leader and the elites around him.

First of all, I commented on the wrong one, thats entirely my fault. Thought I hit reply to one about Hitler. You're right about them not being similar.

However, I love that American tiny brain comment. What country are you from? Doesn't matter, I havent likely thought of it in weeks if not months or years. America is bouncing around in your head constantly though isnt it?

Tell me, what country does all the worlds young adults fight to get into for university again? Ohhh thats right, the one with all those people with tiny brains

And without millions of “tiny American brains”, willing to die in a world war to ensure freedom and democracy continue, you’d be speaking either German, Italian, or Japanese under complete authoritarian rule.

He was the communist premier of the USSR. It’s literally as far left as you can get in terms of political/economic spectrum.
