Feels good man Russian disinformation bot traffic nearly eliminated overnight after Ukraine drone strikes cripple multiple Russian data centers.

Is there someone out there who measures this stuff? because I keep seeing this but literally no "evidence" of it. And if someone is measuring it and we know who the bots are, why can't we just block them?

There are people measuring it, and interestingly, they are actually seeing no real difference in bots. So, ironically, this post about disinformation... is in fact, disinformation.

Disturbing how people just lap this shit up

They want it to be true which is understandable but being delusional isn’t good for anyone.

Different parts of traffic are measured.

One would still need to argue a correlation to “bad bots” other than vibes.

It's literally just claims made by Ukraine. Afaik, the traffic that was measurably affected is webscraping bots for Yandex search, not "disinformation bots."

Basically, this claim itself is disinformation, and it getting spammed everywhere is, not a little ironically, a psy-op.

Let them enjoy their placebo, maybe they’ll stop calling everyone with different opinions bots

That won’t happen, ever.

Haha, one can hope, but of course we can look forward to many exchanges like "russian bot" "I thought all russian bots were destroyed in Yandex bombing?" "did that bother you, bot?" etc, etc

I think most social media sites want the bots. It drives engagement and viewership, but if you pay attention to some of the right wing subs and communities they'll struggle to delelte comments and curb differing opinions because they don't have the Internet or data infrastructure to go online.
