Feels good man Russian disinformation bot traffic nearly eliminated overnight after Ukraine drone strikes cripple multiple Russian data centers.

Is this why T-dump wants so many data centers? Just to flood the general public with misinformation that benefits him?

A few years ago Zuck had plans to make AI Facebook accounts.

Im convinced he did, just not through official channels. The bot activity on Facebook is so bad it's nearly unusable. There is NO WAY he isn't getting a piece of that.

Same with spotify allowing ai generated music into the most popular spotify-operated playlists that they shove in your face the second you open the app. Wonder who benefits most from paying royalties to themselves for a large share of streams.

The "super-intelligence" can't be wrong about their posts involving the supreme leaders...

And if you don't say "Super Intelligence" then you are "the enemy."

Probably not, although he wouldn't mind that as a side effect.

The real reason behind the push for data centers is personal money and investment. Data center construction is pretty much single handedly sustaining the stock market right now. An enormous portion of the growth over the past 2ish years has been AI stocks and data center production companies (Nvidia obviously, but also ram producers like Sony, large energy companies supplying power to the centers and other related secondary effects).

If data center construction scales back significantly it'll be an enormous financial hit to the US and more importantly (for them) to large investors who've sunk hundreds of billions of dollars into pretty absurd valuations and production schedules driven by the speculation and boom of the last couple years.

Yeah and gamers still think RAM prices might go DOWN at some point. Haha.

It depends on what you think is going to happen to the AI bubble.

There's been some interesting developments with power interconnection queues suggesting the projected growth is entirely made up and the new construction will be much slower than they've been claiming. But we shall see.

Nah bro. Entire buildings are going to be covered in RAM sticks and CPUs by the end of this. Hollywood got it wrong. There will be no Terminators. It's a war of attrition, and we will willingly give away our resources to our robot overlords until there is nothing left for us. We will die by our own design.

It’s what the oligarchs want. There are already subreddits where AI are posting images of hot women and all the comments are the same and they’re all new accounts.

See, ai pictures of a hot “chicks” are just awful. This is why I goon ethically to my wife and the pictures of people’s hot mom/grandma that they post on r/ oldschoolcool

Ethical gooning might be my favorite new idea

Dang dude. Way to connect the dots. Didn’t think of that honestly

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason. Control of information..

It was always the plan. Google switched search to Gemini to get away from a heavily scrutinized search algorithm, elon modifies grok when it gives answers he doesnt like even if theyre true, and their focal point for usecases started with art and coding.

If you convince people the chatbot is smart while controlling the training data, you now have complete control of any narrative.

If you create a system that devalues talented humans, then business leaders/the wealthy no longer are hamstrung by a need for talented human workers.

And if the AI does something potentially catastrophic, like say "go rogue" and hack other companies and governments, guess what? Nobody holds the humans accountable for the "software error."

Everything about AI is about feeding the rich. Why do you think openAI famously back peddled in their original pledge to be open source, and all American AI companies are fighting against open weight models? The game was rigged from the start. Cognitive surrender isnt simply an outcome of AI use, it was the desired effect of those who built it.
