this has been reposted a million times over the years but it's a pretty good one tbf

307

u/Keepingitquite123 17h ago

So do you think the one night stand carry duct tape with him or know where they keep the duct tape?

254

u/inbruges99 16h ago

It’s possible they opened cabinets in the bathroom and found some under the sink or something

I mean this probably didn’t happen but it is plausible

-105

u/DapperMolasses3280 15h ago

It's extremely unlikely...it's as plausible as aliens lol.

51

u/ToffieMonster 14h ago

So you're saying it's possible?

23

u/Timely-Layer6302 13h ago

Well, aliens do exist. Statistically speaking, that’s just about as close to a certainty as it gets. Bet you feel pretty stupid now, huh?

Well I mean aliens do exist as alien is just another word for foreign

Well no shit sherlock

-4

u/morpheousmorty 9h ago

Statistics don't say that. For all we know it's statistically impossible to have life at all and we're an unfathomably unlikely result.

1

u/Flat-Yoghurt-7084 9h ago

Idk why that possibility is so much scarier

0

u/ToffieMonster 1h ago

You can't just say things

19

u/axonxorz 14h ago

I have two bathrooms with tape in drawers. Duct tape is a shitty backup, but a backup nonetheless if I need a quick KT tape fix.

I guess aliens are on the way, should we believe your logic ;)

2

u/Beautiful_List5498 13h ago

They're arguing it's a bs attention seeking meme from a long time ago, not that strictly the duct tape bit can't be true.

1

Yup. Finding duct tape or aliens is just as likely.

49

u/EASK8ER52 16h ago

Always possible there's duct tape lying around in the bathroom. Not saying this is real but why does someone HAVE to carry it around. Why can't there be some in the bathroom? I keep duct tape in my bathroom

8

u/COC_410 13h ago

Ima put duct tape in there too. I’d want to know

2

u/Chuckysmalls01 12h ago

Not in the bathroom but we have ductape on a end table right out in the open in our bedroom, which our master bath is attached to. If the other person left the room to say go to the kitchen and get a drink would take no effort to take a couple pieces off of it.

And I guess the cheating woman didn't hear someone using her duct tape in a bathroom (with reverb)? Have you tried tearing duct tape by hand before? It's not quiet, especially in an echoing bathroom. This 100% did not happen 🤣

u/OrangeThrower 14h ago

You can find items inside a house by opening a drawer. Or even asking for them

10

u/hotmachinegun 13h ago

Did anyone else grow up thinking it was called DUCK tape, because you miss heard how it was spelt and only realised your mistake when you saw it written later in life?

13

u/Faolyn 13h ago

Fun fact! The original brand was called duck tape, because "water rolled off it like water off a duck"

4

u/HobbesNJ 8h ago

Also, it's actually poorly suited for use on ductwork. Aluminum foil tape is the preferred product for such usage.

4

u/hotmachinegun 13h ago

Never knew that - thanks for the info.

2

u/keeper18 12h ago

I'd like subscribe to TapeFacts.

3

u/LimpyDan 11h ago

It's a part of their "tools". Gotta have your tools.

1

u/TheKingAintCoverdInS 11h ago

Read this in the voice of Dennis from IASIP. LOL

2

u/LimpyDan 11h ago

That's exactly what I was going for. 😄

3

u/D33J8Y 6h ago

It's possible there was duct tape already applied to something and he peeled off just enough to stick the note under the seat. Might explain the weird shape of the two pieces.

2

u/JayFrizz 10h ago

If I wanted to leave a note and the girl was passed out, I'd rummage through obvious places like kitchen and desk drawers.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

-8

Or I'm letting the one night stand in my house?? No way lmao

20

u/TucsonKhan 16h ago

So what do you do, have sex out in the front yard?

534

u/Late-Branch-1374 18h ago

nah that's actually a real one for telling him, but taping it right under the toilet seat is diabolical. bro knew the exact spot he was guaranteed to see it first thing

235

u/BobbyZinho 17h ago

The point is that the girl isn’t going to see it and throw it out because she doesn’t lift the seat to piss.

Did you use AI for this response??? Bot ass message

59

Some of ya'll are way too paranoid about AI

2

Maybe but it's funny how many times people who get told they sound like LLMs have profiles with word word number names that are only a few weeks old.

2

u/ZLOAHSVSJSO 15h ago

Hello, as an AI chatbot, **** off

249

u/Accomplished_Bake329 18h ago

So real, ayo girl can I borrow some ductape and paper and a pen lemme go use your bathroom real quick. Yeah. Real story bro for sure

160

u/Crunchykroket 17h ago

You don't have ducttape next to your poop knife?

44

u/wekidough 17h ago

POOP KNIFE

3

u/BarnacleMcBarndoor 9h ago

I keep my poop knife and knife-wrench in my bathroom in case of emergencies

15

u/Bunnywarmachine 16h ago

I mean, bro probably just searched for what was needed and entered considering the paper's all crumpled up, prolly hid that shit in his pocket, good man.

-1

u/Former-Session3791 15h ago

So he happened to find some duct tape, pen and paper, and she didn't suspect anything? I dunno

18

u/ncocca 12h ago

Maybe she was asleep, or on the phone. There's many plausible ways this could have happened. You playing internet detective on a harmless meme is more absurd then just accepting this may have happened.

6

u/Bunnywarmachine 13h ago

Shii, I have those all over my living room desk.

20

u/Immediate_Weather354 17h ago

Guy just has duct tape with him?

27

u/Combei 17h ago

There was some left from the night before

1

u/barney_trumpleton 4m ago

If it's a rental, there's a strong chance duct tape is holding something together in the bathroom.

37

u/outcastreturns 17h ago

I want to believe it, but I feel like the chances of this being real is pretty low.

8

u/szaszuque 17h ago

First day?

74

u/Glioss88 17h ago

this is one of those things that def didn't happen. Dude just finds duct tape on his way out? wtf

35

u/EaseLeft6266 17h ago

Maybe she's a really freaky girl

9

u/odin_the_wiggler 16h ago

The kind you don't bring home to Mothaa

2

u/Yuck-Fou94 2h ago

She will never let your spirits down

6

u/2020mademejoinreddit 15h ago

So, here's the thing, something similar to this did happen, but this image isn't that. I remember reading a story when it happened and it is very old so I'm not sure if I'll even find it, but if your google-fu is strong, you might wanna give it a try. It was an interesting and fun story, but a bit sad.

I think this image is basically one of those copycat things that keep getting recreated because the original was that awesome. The original did not have a note taped to the bathroom for sure.

3

u/Beautiful_List5498 13h ago

You're absolutely right. Most internet memes are that TBF, they copy something and make it seem like they're the best for it.

Note the tweet thing underneath the post. There's so many now of them gargling the 'original posters' balls, you can just tell they're all manufactured.

1

u/DirectorLeather6567 10h ago

The response had me in the first half ngl.

2

u/real_fyshi 17h ago

Maybe he brought it with him. I always have some with me when going out, you never know when you'll need it.

Seriously.

2

u/mercuriokazooie 17h ago

Maybe he was the plumber?

2

u/nucl3ar0ne 17h ago

What's a plumber using duct tape for?

3

u/mercuriokazooie 17h ago

Hold up their pants.

1

u/Educational_Fox5319 8h ago

He’s not a very professional plumber. Would also be implied by him nailing his client

1

u/Momma-Yo-Momma 13h ago

Definitely laid some pipe

1

u/One_Broccoli_8000 17h ago

that’s why she couldn’t tell him earlier

8

u/Ok_Passenger6582 15h ago

Bro left a one-star review with a handwritten customer support ticket he he he

7

u/Goowatchi 14h ago

And then everyone stood up and got to clap 👏 her

7

u/ScuffAndy 12h ago

Or got the clap..

2

u/Goowatchi 12h ago

Why not both

6

u/captcraigaroo 17h ago

I sit down to pee so my dogs can get their free pets - how will I know?

5

u/Hammered_Eel 17h ago

This is as old as the internet

5

u/nomadicsailor81 15h ago

In Georgia, in the US, there are two ranger battalions. When one deployed some of the other battalion's rangers try and sleep with the deployed guys wives. If they are successful, they hid a battalion unit coin near the bed for the guy to find.

3

u/BigMack6911 7h ago

Fucking Jody

1

u/kombatunit 5h ago

Blue falcons with integrity?

9

u/Androoboodro 15h ago

I always keep duct tape, paper, and a pen in my bathroom too. How about you guys?

11

u/Epic_Emerald 15h ago

I get this is likely a fake post but you do know there’s a concept called making the note and grabbing tape in another room and taking to the bathroom

8

u/First_Pay702 13h ago

Kind of looks like a receipt. Pen would be easy to find in an apartment/house. Could probably guess where the duct tape was, if did not have in vehicle. Not saying it happened but is not implausible.

1

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 12h ago

Duct tape wallet used to be a fad and I always have a pen on me

1

u/kombatunit 5h ago

My thought exactly. The pen and paper are probably an easy thing to pick up in domicile but duct tape?

0

u/_Noble_One_ 4h ago

You don’t have duct tape at home?

1

u/aggregated_basalt 2h ago

It’s hilarious that people can’t imagine how the guy would find duct tape lying around. Like I’ don’t think that I’ve ever lived in a house where there wasn’t duct tape and pens and paper lying around. All of these are essentials in like every home are they not?

1

u/FlamingoResident7882 1h ago

When I was in elementary school this kid made wallets out of duct tape because he said you could always peel a piece off in an emergency.

Good to see he’s still out there banging hors (IASIP REF)

3

u/RaptorXFactor 5h ago

10 year old or more necroposting again

2

u/Intelligent_Box_8247 17h ago

bro saved another bro from further regrets..

2

u/Cellafex 15h ago

Well, thanks for reminding me of that time I got home early in the morning to meet the guy personally who had no idea about me.

2

u/ayakis 12h ago

For anyone inspired by this placement I just wanna warn you that I know women, myself included, who wipe the underneath on a regular basis as piss tends to splatter up there, especially on plastic toilet seats.

2

u/Somethingisshadysir 10h ago

A group home I used to work when in college, I worked one night a week overnights, second shift the other days. 3rd shift was supposed to be cleaning all common areas, particularly emphasizing the kitchen and bathrooms. I was confident the one night of the week I worked was the only night the bathrooms were actually getting cleaned, so I tested it. After cleaning the toilets, I took a q tip and wrote something in chocolate syrup on the underside of the toilet lid. The single male staff (most residential healthcare jobs of most levels are female dominated) noticed it the very next day, and figured out immediately what I was doing, because we discussed how unclean the bathrooms were most of the week. Go through the whole week, still there a full week later, for a toilet other claimed they were cleaning nightly. Only the one who actually cleaned it and the one dude noticed.

2

u/SilkCloud_ 17h ago

he knew zero percent chance shed ever look under there.

5

u/thirteenth_mang 17h ago

Do the women in your life not clean?

4

u/Combei 17h ago

In fact I'm the one cleaning the bathrooms

3

u/Euphoric-Ad-6584 17h ago

i mean in this scenario i'm sure the guy thought the boyfriend would be over before she cleaned, but it was the best chance he thought of

2

u/DapperMolasses3280 15h ago

Doesn't seem even remotely believable lol, does this sub thing this actually happened? C'mon now 🤣

1

u/Wrong-Peach-5834 17h ago

This isn't real, bc you always forget to put it down!!!

1

u/SoulGravity 17h ago

I bow to you my master .

1

u/serenitydiscoballer 17h ago

Genius. Give this guy a medal

1

u/Nefertete 15h ago

yes, you men are some rocket scientists doing this stuff that us ladies do all day

1

u/Perfect_Pause_3578 15h ago

what if he was one of those guys that pees with the seat down... not like sits to pee, but just threads the needle xD

1

u/LexsDragon 15h ago

He could be a good hygiene guy and also sit all the time.

1

u/flipnonymous 14h ago

Yeah, because my wife nEEEever lifts the seat, even to clean the bowl with the scrub brush.

This is bigger brain than you'd expect, but it's not that plausible of a "genius" type solution

1

u/dizvyz 12h ago

Real homie. Sacrificed a bit of his wallet to stick the note there.

Who keeps duct tape in their bathroom?

1

The tape though.

I mean.

1

u/Excellent-Yard2823 16h ago

If real, this is brilliant.

1

u/floatinghaloo 15h ago

That guy is real one for leaving the note. Sorry about the girlfriend though

1

u/ZapMannigan 8h ago

Maybe guy was only out of town for a day, but even so I gotta imagine the woman would have checked under the seat as part of the post cheat don't get caught clean.
