If you think this ends his career and he wont continue to sell out stadiums in a few months, you are terminally online and need to speak to real people

But his opening acts that nobody heard of are leaving the tour!!!!

Unironically the best thing an opening act can do for name recognition rn is to leave the tour lol

Was it even him though? My very limited understanding was that it was his sponsors?

Sponsering what? They're Ed Sheeran's sponsers.

How fucking lame is it to get online and defend Ed Sheeran?

Have some self respect, man.

But he is actually not defending him just saying how it is he has such a huge following that he will still sell out stadiums even if he doesnt deserve it

Fuck it I'll defend him.

Man wants to show up, sing my cousin's wedding song, and be rich. None of that involves being signed up for anyone's crusade. Maybe there's some shit he should have known better I sure as fuck ain't deep diving the situation but from the outside this sure as fuck looks like a man screwed by a 'subordinate' and a sponsor he needs.

A sponsor reddit would happily glazing the dick of had he targeted the red cumstains running this dying empire. Ever heard of turnabout? Ten years ago you all thought this tactic was brilliant.

Anyways Ed you have my sympathy.

More then anything though whenever some celebrity wants to gets political I mostly just want to shove a big fat purple dildo down their throat. Full Bad Dragon. Right is even worse then left but nobody is converted by these shenanigans, the world will never be saved everyone joining hands to sing Kumbaivyah or Lennon's navel gazing dreck. I think more people react like me and for those that do respond positively its gone in an hour or a day. No commitment, no follow up, certainly no hearing Jesus in the Road to Damascus and changing up your whole life be Ye said Dubya don't like the blacks.

Maybe a legit charity concert can do some (very) small good. Or you can headline a 5k a plate dinner for rich idiots if you really want to be involved in politics, but 'calls to action' are just patting yourself on the back. With a high likelihood of 'no such thing as bad publicity' attention seeking but are fundamental failures in thinking they have real power.

Celebrities just do not have powerful platforms.

They're the modern circus promoted by the machine and the man. Certainly ones selling out stadiums are. Maybe they if they were smarter they could play the geisha or courtesan by being fashionable for those with real power to have around but putting a soapbox on stage will fail.

If jest I read somewhere is true it was his last tour for a while to spend time with his young kids. Just wanted to sing his shit and get home and got dragged into a massive pool of shit, I’d feel bad for him if I cared about millionaires having work issues.

Neat that you act like you know exactly how this will play out despite this being a super uncommon phenomenon. Sounds like you’re the terminally online one.

This isnt that uncommon lol, you just exist in an echo chamber
