It’s a shame, because Macklemore himself said “hey don’t hold it against him, he’s a good dude and a good friend, it’s the venue organisers who got together and gave him and me an ultimatum”.

And as the backlash continued, Ed put out a statement to the effect of "I didn't kick him off the show, that was totally the tour promoter's choice!"

"I have my personal views on this devastating conflict. Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn't mean I don't have them, and it doesn't mean I don't care. Nor does it mean I don't support causes in my own, personal way."

Yeah sorry, bud. People nowadays recognize when someone is using doublespeak to hide their unpopular opinions. You're gonna have to figure out a new spin.

Redditors think they're good at this but they're actually pretty awful at it. They just massively over correct and assume anyone who doesn't 100% share their opinion is 100% on the other side.

I've been called a Trump supporter about 1000 times on Reddit when I'm from a country with 7 political parties - all of which are further left than American Democrats - and I vote for the furthest left of them all.

Usually from criticizing something America did while a Democrat was president, which according to Reddit obviously makes you a MAGA rapist pedo bootlicker or whatever.

“I choose not to speak publicly about this devastating conflict, I hope it will end soon so I can reduce my donations to the Israel Defense Fund.”

This is a very complicated topic and he has the free will and financial security to say what Israel has done to the Palestinians is wrong and should end. He chooses to imply he supports causes in his own, personal way. On a polarizing topic, that leaves more questions than answers. Also, he’s British and white. Britain was influential in establishing a Jewish state.

I think youre thinking entirely too deep. Guy wants fans on both sides so doesn't say his stance. Totally reasonable. Why do you have to know everyone's opinions on every issue ever? It's literally fucking insane lol
