Bandicam in 2026? Get yourself OBS, it's free and no water marks.

Sim looks nice 👍

The aspect ratio and bandicam watermark really give this a 2012 feeling

2012 would be great

You should consider contacting the developer of Street-Spec if you wanted to put your tech in a real game. It could be a great match.

As far is BeamNG is concerned my simulation works differently from theirs. They calculate the force for each node each step and apply it. So their simulation is not solved each step in terms of an equilibrium of the system. It's a constant dynamic process. The calculation is simple but in order for the system to be rigid they have to perform a lot of steps per seconds. About 2k as far as I know. I solve the system every step which is what is done in the FEM method. Solving the whole system is more computationaly intensive but it allows to have a big time step. I can not use a very big time step because of the collision detection at high speeds but if it was not for that I would probably use 50 steps per second. I use 250. Cause I can assembe the system I use not only springs but other elements like real beams. They need more computation and you thus can not use a lot of them but in some cases they are helpful. Rigging the model is also simpler. I used a random 3d model. It just have to have separate panels and parts that you want to be able to break off. Other than that rigging is quite simple.

The guy is having fun making a softbody physics sim. What's your problem?

Omg. Thank you. Did I single-handedly make a clone of BeamNG?

There is so much more going on in beamng not only soft body vehicle physics.

Also u didn't mention if there was ai involved for code.

Despite the collision looks okayish(but way to fast), it don't seem the car is affected by said collision at all. Low res textures, bad position of buildings (one is flying?).

I don't understand the negativity. It looks pretty cool to me, this is obviously experimental / a tech demo and not intended to be a BeamNG clone? And for what it is it seems to be working fine, like if this was in an actual game I would think it's awesome.

You should put some crash test dummies in the car or make a demolition derby sim.
