Just what I was thinking about! Amazing how such simple games could keep you busy for hours

They have a new version for mobile and its riddled with microtransactions and subscription tiers. Wanted to get my kid into on the tablet.

Sick! Which physics game & engine did you use?

Unity, and it's computed on GPU, so compute shader

A Lemmings remake in this would go so hard.

I would not recommend using Nintendo assets even under fair use unless you want to be sued badly for publicity sake

Sure, it's just placeholders. Original assets are in work.

Good trick to not give anything away

Wow these are so satisfying to watch. It reminds me a little of the chaotic destruction from the old Worms games. I think you really have something here!

In case you're interested, this is the game on Steam (wishlistable).

And regularly I post new simulations on my twitter.

I don't have a gameplay, so I can't ask an artist to draw something yet. When gameplay is decided, I'll replace that placeholder with something nice.

Can confirm: have had many games, even mods for games, that I've skipped over because of a slopped thumbnail art.

u/Spedunkler 2d ago

Oh no, anyway

u/DorrajD 2d ago

Bro made sure to reply to every comment huh lmao

1

u/Zolden 2d ago

Yea, makes sense

I disagree, you don't want these anti Ai goblin mouth breathers around telling you what's "wrong" with your game anyway

2

u/True_Salt2180 3d ago

I personally don’t think it’s that bad to use an AI generated thumbnail, but since so many people are against it it’s probably a good idea not to. Can’t wait for your game to come out btw.

Ai art is real art

2

u/DrHyde4321 3d ago

Will it have achievements?

1

u/Spedunkler 2d ago

Nice! Don't worry about the Ai hater goblins

3

u/TyrannyAndSarcasm 3d ago

Impressive! I also noticed a good portion of the ejected gooey bits auto-delete before they congeal with the bits that persist. Is that to keep resource use in check?

2

u/Zolden 3d ago

Yes, even though those fluids are simulated along with the rest of the physics, it's rather a vfx.

Nice. Reminds me of Jelly Mario 😂

2

u/TYsir 3d ago

This makes me miss newgrounds flash games

The Patrick rocket launch exploded like a cutaway bit from the show.

Jelly Mario Bros reference?

2

Very satisfying to watch. Sometimes there is beauty in destruction

2

u/Material_Horror_633 3d ago

Beat me to it OP. Very nice work.

2

u/crownlessking 3d ago

Holy shit Flubber? What a throwback

2

u/RaidensReturn 2d ago

What’s the game? This looks delightful

2

u/rubberpp 2d ago

Looks really cool you should make them ragdoll a bit more so it feels less stiff it'd be more satisfying when they turn to goop

Ai. Do you have the disclosure on the steam page

1

u/Zolden 1d ago

What do you mean?

1

u/Cloudcry 22h ago

Seems pretty clear, OP is accusing you of AI generated content and asking if you've disclosed that forgone conclusion on your steam page

1

u/Zolden 14h ago

It's not clear, which content does he mean.

2

u/Cloudcry 14h ago

One must assume all or part of the content that you have posted here

1

u/Zolden 8h ago

Oh, that would be an assumption hopelessly hard to defend in this case.
