Painting Second commando squad
After Delta Squad I decided to do Night Ops (Republic Commando multiplayer), Recon (RC multiplayer), Gregor (TCW) and Royal Guard (Bad Batch)

Great work! Visors are peak. Gave me some inspiration for my Commandos

I just do a really quick hit of army painter plasma coil glow! Literally just needs one coat over white and that's how it looks

Thank you! My first real attempt at a camo pattern so I'm glad it went over well

I'm not gonna lie, I thought the Gregor was drowned in dark wash haha. Camo looks amazing, what colors did you use?

I'll edit it if I need to after I'm off but I'm fairly certain the process was:
Prime black, zenithal white
grim black speedpaint to Undersuit
Zealot yellow speedpaint
Army painter Dark blue tone on all white armor to give it a grey/ white tone
Working pattern L to R on each digital blot:
Army painter uniform grey
2 thin coats brand dungeon stone grey
2 thin coats brand ashen grey, and then a few army painter brigade grey? To add some more white-grey back to the top.
Dark blue tone again over the camo
That should be just about accurate but if it's not I'll push an update after work lol

I would love a glimpse into the mind of the character artist who decided Gregor needed camouflage and hi-viz gear at the same time

At first I was thinking “man your grey layer needs work” before it registered as camo. It’s sick!
