Same as the title

If anyone's up. DM me.

girl go lift weights. Those chloe ting workouts are a sham. If you're a beginner you can get away with some body recomp too so that's really neat, you don't really have to watch what you eat as much. Personally I really hate cardio but I can really stay consistent with lifting weights, plus the strenght is also really functional, and it's very good for women's health.

I just wanna get started tbh. Im v conscious of my body- i hate it tbh i don't wanna "hit the gym" as there are so many sweaty moids. They ogle at you. Try to touch you by saying they're correcting my "form"

It's very nightmareish

And my family is v orthodox they won't let me go there as there are "too many boys"

All I could do it home workouts and HIIT cardio after which I'd start doing it with weights and body weight.

That's fair. Sometimes there are women's only gyms but they don't have those everywhere. I'm not too familiar but there's probably ways to do progressive overload without big weights. You can try resistance bands, bodyweight calisthenics-type exercises, and perhaps lifting furniture for big muscle groups (I used to leg press my bed when I was younger). The important thing is that you progressively overload your muscles so they get the signal to grow, so energy goes towards building muscle instead of being stored as fat. It doesn't matter as much if you do it by adding weights or by going from normal to single-leg deadlifts for example, as long as your muscles getting tired is the limiting factor, and not getting out of breath. Keeping strength training and cardio separate is generally more effective than doing low weight high reps.

If you are able to leave the house for a sport besides the gym, I'd do that instead of home workouts. When I'm at home it's really easy to procrastinate my workouts, but if you physically go somewhere it's easier to get it over with, you just do it on autopilot after a while. If you find something that you actually enjoy, that's even better. Of course that all depends a lot on your environment and whether it's comfortable and affordable for you or not. If it's not feasible for you currently, you can think of it as a longer term goal. It's way easier to make exercise your routine/'path of least resistence' rather than brute forcing it through willpower and motivation. For at-home cardio you can also try out dancing, it's the only type of cardio I don't hate, personally.

Sorry I know you didn't ask for advice but I just wanted to give my 2 cents as someone who did chloe ting workouts as a teen and was always struggling with "keeping on track" with the challenges and workout plans. It's a really crappy cycle to be stuck in and it makes you feel worse about yourself constantly. Focussing on functional strength ultimately gave me better results and made me feel much better as well. Exercise should never feel like a punishment.

Much love and good luck to you! I hope you're able to find something you love.

as the other comment said chloe ting workouts are a sham id recommend just getting cardio like going for a jog or getting into swimming. start off small like going for 10 mins and then when you have the habit built up go longer :3

Sorry for posting on a 3 month post.

I just wanted to say that Chloe ting work outs are not a bad way to get into fitness.

With fitness. Its all about getting started.

Do whatever you have to in order to build the habit. The expand to more efficacious options from there.

also, if you can't hit the gym. Bulgarian bag.

I was stuck at an remote site in southern utah during an internship for my geology program. All I had was bulgarian bag.

My older sister gave it to me. And that shit got me through so much.

Weight can vary from 6 pounds to 75.

I had an 33 during my internship. Last summer I moved up to an 42.

You can work out with it any where. Whether its an 100 degree hell hole, or your families garage.

Bulgarian bag is a life saver.
