What's the best way for JD to let Rubio run?

I'm all for Rubio2028

This is one of the best speeches I’ve heard. I agree with everything he said. I hope he runs for president. Marco has my vote

All of my fingers crossed that he does.

Id like to see a ran as well. Do you think he’s too tainted by DJT to grab moderates? He’s largely stayed above the fray

Speeches aside, he’s still the same Neo Con I’ve known for over a decade.

Not interested

Predicting we'll lose a little bit but not notably in the midterms. We'll definitely win in 2028. For instance all my friends (including myself) don't identify as a certain party, we vote solid Republican, and I've asked my friends...none answer polling questions.

The world is ready for a President that isnt old and jaded. Someone with a fresh perspective. It's not going to be the Democrats because their party is so heavily divided and angry. The world doesn't want an angry 4 more years

Predicting we'll lose a little bit but not notably in the midterms. We'll definitely win in 2028.

You're kidding, right? Even ignoring affordability, tariff driven inflation, the war, fuel prices also driving inflation, insane levels of spending, also, you guessed it, driving spending, Congressional approval ratings in the gutter, and candidates who need to run both without linking themselves to an unpopular President as well as also not piss him off because he'll do what he can to make them lose, you have literal history working against us. No one keeps a trifecta. Not when popular and certainly not when unpopular.

President Trump won on affordability and because President Biden was incoherent, pretended the stock market going up meant the economy was good for the average American, and failed to improve things. We're in exactly the same spot. We're going to lose this year and by a large margin. Not by enough to guarantee they can secure an impeachment, but enough that the President's agenda is essentially over, beyond him just ruling through Executive Orders and pretending Congress doesn't exist. We'll probably lose in 2028 as well as whoever runs will have to secure the President's endorsement or he'll tank them, but also distance themselves from him as he isn't popular outside of the party. That's basically an impossible task.

Fortunately, the Democrats are going to overreach. They're going to take their victory as a mandate. They're going to see it as a blue wave rather than what it is, a red undertow. So they'll think they can push the most progressive DSA policies possible. The public will react badly to that and stand a good chance at losing whatever power they gain this year and in 2028. Hopefully we'll have candidates who can capitalize on that.

Here's the thing, Republicans value black and white morals which don't change. So regardless if Trump is being erratic, us Republicans still stand by our morals and values. We will still do what is right. We will still vote according to that.

What conservative morals and values does Trump represent?

So voting trump - a demented angry manchild that cares only about billionaires and fucks working people, is your definition of standing by your moral?

In that case your moral is literally shit

The speech was an important defense and celebration of Western Civilization which has it's roots in Ancient Greek, (especially Athenian), Government, Philosophy, Language, Literature, Mythology, Medicine, Sport and Architecture. The stunning backdrop of the Acropolis, seemingly at dusk, was the perfect image for the event. Rubio's carefully crafted message transcended politics. It was a strong warning that, by allusion to our historical resilience, predicted ultimate triumph. It was a call to arms in the face of entropy. We need only to bravely draw on our History, Traditions and Culture(s) to infuse us with the strength, ethos and logos that has sustained us for millenia.

His presidential race depends on whether Pres. Trump endorse him or not. I still think Vance gets the endorsement and Rubio should be his running mate.

Rubio isn’t dumb enough to run as VP in 28, im almost convinced he sits 28 out.

Vance is unlikable.

Rubio is up to the job and not nearly as polarizing.

I listened to his entire speech, and found myself yearning for a president who sounds, and is, that smart.

I don't disagree with you. I'm just being realistic. I think Trump endorses Vance and that carries significance. I personally would like Rubio over Vance but at the end of the day, we gotta get behind whoever is the candidate and keep liberals away from the WH.
