My baby Lola is 7 years old, Iāve had her since she was 2. Iām in the middle of transitioning housing which I know can potentially be super stressful for her in terms of routine changes. She hasnāt changed any of her behaviors or slowed down at all, before the move or even now, but knowing that sheās getting older and older, I feel increasing sadness & anxiety around her inevitably reaching her demise. At 7 years old, I imagine sheās lucky if she even gets another 3, 4, 5 years, and that thought alone breaks my heart. I feel like Iām grieving her before she even shows signs of aging. Do any other senior rabbit owners go through this? How do you deal with it? How do you love on your senior buns and keep them happy and healthy without stressing about the time they might have left? I feel like I actually might need to seek therapy due to the way this is eating at me. She was my first pet as an adult and sheās been with me through some of the WORST moments of my life. I genuinely canāt wrap my head around the idea of losing her someday, it makes me sick. I try to spend time with and love on her in the present, but in the back of my mind, itās eating at me not knowing how much time we have left together. I want her final senior years to be special.

Iāve always had house bunnies and the time is right to adopt a new family member. Maude is six and was recently surrendered to a refuge after her bonded partner passed and the owners lost interest.
Sheās three days in and already queen of the house. Sheās taken a shine to her new human dad especially, rearranging him so she can find a good cuddle spot next to him on the sofa.
She weighs three kilos so needs to lose some weight but otherwise sheās very healthy. No issues with her litter box since arriving either.
Of course we are all totally in love with her. Weāre waiting to see whether she needs a new bunny pal or if the non stop attention from her family (Iām home in the day, and everyone else from afternoon) is enough for her.
Sheās our Halloween girl because of the timing, her colour and her adorable witchy name!

Kit was just dropped off for his first procedure today. He has some overgrown cheek teeth on one side so he will be getting those trimmed. He is 10 years old and has never been under anesthesia, so I am properly freaking out right now. I know it's a minor procedure and my other pets have been under before, I'm just particularly worried for him as he's older. I opted into all the pre-op blood panels as well as a full body x-ray to check him for arthritis while we're at it.
Please send positive vibes to my old man. He's a trooper but I will be fighting back tears until he is home safe with his wife and I.
Edit: It was a bit rough, but my little man did great. He's slowly waking up. His blood levels indicated a bit of inflammation so we're going to get it tested in 3 weeks or so to see if the trimming helped. He'll be on Meloxicam for a bit, but he loves it so it's all good. Thanks for helping us through this, everyone! ā¤ļø

I clapped my hands trying to get a fruit fly hovering in my face, and this was Busterās reaction. I immediately apologized, of course.

Maki survived her first (Canadian) Thanksgiving and it was a bit much.
Iām actually curious about the fact that her ācomfortā spot is under the gate? We had set up the pen for when we brought her home and sheās been with us almost 2 months now. We leave the gate open so she can go in and out of HER space.
But her ABSOLUTE FAVORITE spot to relax is under the open gate.
Like, girl, that gate is doing nothing to hide you or protect you⦠WHY?!

(pic of boba, my baby who passed recently š¤šļø)
I am NOT advertising, do not pay me! I just need cheerleaders! XD
I am trying to save up at the very least 2,000 dollars! My baby bun Boba passed away, and it's taken me quite a while to heal. I'm not fully healed, still...but I've taken this time to put my passion into bunnies even further. With more research, with more money, with even more love which I didn't think was even possible! I don't have a job, and I'm a bit too young for one...but I'm trying hard to make some money doing things! I got my dad to sell stuff on Facebook marketplace, and sales are slow...but I'll get there eventually! Wish me luck, I know I'll eventually have enough to give a big bun a big heart and a loving home!
I'm aiming to get a flemish giant bun! I've researched them, I've spent most of my time talking all about what they do, what they enjoy, just how cute they are...there's one 2 hours away from me...so, as soon as I'm financially stable and prepared, bun bun is mineee!

How do I distinguish these two?
My boy is vocal, he makes his little remarks. If I pet too long or on the wrong spot or just piss him off somehow heāll give me a growl and try to throw hands.
He also makes his sounds in the morning, as I get him his pellets. I worry because I dunno if Iām pissing him off even more or if heās just excited to get his hunger satiated.
One is absolutely 100% an angry grunt growl thing, but his one when eating I dunno.
He just picks up his bowl and tosses it. Then snacks on all the stuff he poured on the floor. I canāt tell if heās doing that out of anger or playfulness.
Can anyone more experienced give me some insight?
(Above is the glare I get every time he growls (bar breakfast)

I took my bunny to the vet, and she told me that my bunny is starting to develop kidney problems. She also mentioned that sheās slightly anemic and that thereās something wrong with her blood circulation, specifically that her blood is too thick.
What confused me is that the vet told me I shouldnāt be giving my bunny unlimited hay and that I should instead be feeding her a special medicated diet.
Iām a little confused because isnāt hay supposed to make up the majority of a rabbitās diet?
I wouldāve understood if she had told me to temporarily limit hay while my bunny is undergoing treatment, but she made it sound like I shouldnāt be giving her unlimited hay in general.
Is this normal advice for rabbits with kidney problems? Has anyone else been told something similar by their vet? Iām genuinely confused and a little concerned because everything Iāve read says rabbits should have unlimited access to hay. She said the one in the picture is supposed to be her main diet and that hay should never be the main diet

Hey rabbit people,
So the Rabbit Distribution System brought me a a dumped bunny in June, who ended up being pregnant, and we ended up with four Little Bunnies in addition to Mamabun. I was able to place two of the Little Bunnies ā¤ļø I've got two Little Bunnies remaining, a male and a female, one I'm keeping to hopefully be a companion to Mamabun, the other will go to a close family member and be a single bun. They are about 14 weeks old at this point.
These are not my first rabbits, but it will be the first time bun for my family member. They are close by though so I'll be around to help them out.
Originally the plan was to keep Bun Son so we could do a male/female bond(everyone will be fixed by the time this happens), and adopt out Bun Daughter. I'm starting to reconsider this though, because Bun Son is the bolder and more independent of the two Little Bunnies and a bit more human sociable, and I think may be a better solo bun and more rewarding personality for a first time bun owner. Bun Daughter is more shy, and as a baby was always one to stay closer to Mom and her siblings.
Would it be practical to keep Bun Daughter and try to bond her with Mamabun? She's still sharing an enclosure with her mom and they're still getting along (some chasing but still mutually grooming and snuggling.) Both girls are still in tact for now, but if I adopt out Bun Son I'll be able to separate them till both are spayed. The part of the house they are living in is the only home they've ever known here and I'm hoping it's been shared territory for so long it may mitigate some territorial behavior.
Pics are Mamabun and Bun Daughter lounging, and Bun Son doing his thing.
